Eddy and his family were taking great care of us. The food was fresh from the lake and the additional boat tour plus kayaking made our stay unforgettable

In early mornings, there might be a lack of water and electricity (but that is potentially due to the circumstances on the lake)

Eddy is a super nice host, tasty food, amazing location and views over the lake from the terrace (not in the middle of the touristy Uros islands as many other hotels), really interesting and informative Uros tour with opportunity to skip the touristy part, everything is really well organzied and Eddy makes sure to get you to the lodge even when your bus arrives late

Unfortunately it was super cold (2 degrees at night in may), when we were there and the rooms are not made out of concrete nor are heated (just a little separate heater wich needs to be switched off during the night); you cannot lock the room; no wifi although mentioned in the booking.com description

The experience to be on a floating island was incredible and the sunset views were unique and special.

We were very disappointed with the overall experience. All of the lodges offer the same view, so it is not enough to just rely on that fact alone when providing this experience. - The hosts were not friendly to us at all, we were dropped on the island and then could not find anyone for the next few hours, even to get some water. They barely spoke to us during our whole stay. - We booked a boat tour at 2pm, but at 4:30pm we still couldn't find anyone and in the end went for a small, barely 1 hour tour before the sunset, but we were charged the full price. - The dinner was well below average, with no local dishes or anything special, and was incredibly expensive (double the price to be found in Puno for a good meal) - There was a lot of hidden charges like the transfer to the lodge and drinking water, which seems unfair considering the isolated circumstances. - Heating in the rooms was advertised but it turns out we weren't allowed to use it. - The shower had no pressure, so while it was hot it was difficult to have a shower anyway. - Communication with the host was slow at times.
