Golden Rooster Hotel

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the very first staff members who welcomed us; it wasn't our check-in date yet, but they allowed us to leave two of our luggages at the hotel. Secondly, on our check-in date, we arrived quite late at night. It was 1:00 a.m., and they still welcomed us kindly. I know it is their job to accommodate us, but sometimes you see staff members who appear irritated because of the timing. However, the night shift staff members were very friendly and accommodating, and we even received a free room upgrade! Lastly, on the day we were scheduled to fly back home, when we told them we were departing at 5:00 a.m., they offered to pack us some food since we would miss breakfast. It was so kind of them to consider that, as some staff members would not even care if you missed a meal. I just wanted to say that although our stay was short, I am glad I booked your hotel. The next time someone I know asks for a recommendation, or if I have the chance to visit again, I will surely mention or book your hotel. Thank you so much for your kindness; we appreciate it deeply.

Location was good, walking distance to everywhere and the staff were lovely. We missed breakfast but it was included in the price. The only downside was my friends room was on a lower floor and much bigger than the single occupancy room I had in the attic, the lift doesn’t go up to this floor you have to get off the one before and walk up a set of stairs making sure you watch your head. The staff member was kind enough to take my bag up for me as the stairs are very awkward

Don't book the two-bedroom suite especially if you have heavy luggages. You'll only get to use the elevator until the 6th floor and will have to use the narrow stairs until the 7th. Room was not that clean. The plastics that held the tootbrushes, comb and razor had holes on them and even had toothpaste stains. I wonder how long since they were last replaced. One of the rooms in the suite was hot and the air conditioning unit was not working well and dripping water on the floor, the staff just reasoned that it was because our room was on the top floor. Was quite disappointed in how the woman staff handled our complaints, she just told us that they know where their hotel is lacking yet asked us to give a 10 star. To be fair, all the staff were polite but we just didn't like how they were sweeping our complaints under the rug. The ultimate disappointment was the breakfast, we didn't even have much protein in the choices. We only had sad fried chicken that was mostly breading, boiled egg that didn't taste well, some kind of glass noodles that didn't like anything. The weird sushi roll only had a sliver of ham, string bean and cucumber. It's like they didn't even want to bother. Chicken pho eas probably the better choice but you could only request one serving.

Good location, walking distance to many food and massage places. Breakfast was so-so.
