The perfect place to stay in Conwy

We absolutely loved our stay as this is one of those wonderful places that begins to feel like home. Colin and Monica have thoughtfully renovated the cottage so that it is attractive and comfortable. The roof terrace with its view of the castle was great for a drink in cooler weather (with coats) and I can only imagine how wonderful this would be in the summer. We found the cottage very cosy in autumn but I can imagine it would be comfortable in any kind of weather. It’s location within the walls of Conwy makes the location both convenient and special. Highly recommended.

This is not something we didn’t like but a bit of advice. There is free parking available and the ‘hidden’ parking bay Colin recommends always had places; however, parking in the street would not be something we would recommend. We chose to pay the £8.50 per day at Mt Pleasant which is cheap in comparison to Sydney prices and a short walk to the cottage.

Walled town, comfortable self contained.

Very quiet location at the top of town. Comfortable bed. Bathroom is on same floor as bedroom, which is much better than tackling stairs in the night. Powder for washing machine. I was concerned about parking, especially over bank holiday weekend but it was never an issue for our week stay. There is parking all around the place.

Just a heads up, there is zero tea/coffee; first time I’ve ever encountered that. But there was ample toilet paper and detergent for washing machine, which is very often not the case, so if you had to choose I’d take the detergent, as who is going to travel with that. Couch as previous comments.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Conwy!

Great location; restaurants and shops just a couple of minutes walk. Very cosy cottage with all necessary facilities. Good shower and great WiFi.

Being within the castle walks, street parking is very limited and quite challenging on a narrow street with a steep incline!

It’s a typical little Welsh terrace house. Nicely updated, modern fixtures and fittings. We felt very at home.

Location. It’s inside the city walls and a short walk to everything in Conwy

Technically you could park in the street, but in reality there is not enough space-leave it for the locals. Just the other side of the city walls is a reasonable car park-5 mins walk, tops. The stairs are steep, so if that makes you nervous, think again.

Lovely clean cottage in a great location.

Lovely clean house in a great location. Loved being able to stroll into Conwy so easily and lots to offer just a short drive away. We especially loved the Bodnant gardens. Great fish and chip shop at the end of the street too.

Kitchen felt like it was missing a few things such as wooden spoons and scissors. There was no oil or pepper and no tea and coffee. Most of the cottages we’ve stayed at before would’ve had these plus a welcome hamper or at least some milk in the fridge. The main bedroom window doesn’t shut properly so there is some outside noise. Thankfully this wasn’t too bad during the night. Also there are no proper curtains in the main bedroom only a blind which meant it was never fully dark and we were woken early each day with the light.

The little extras made it even more perfect whilst I had brought my own It was impressive to see that literally everything you may need was already there, from shampoos, conditioners, shower gel to cooking oils and herbs & spices in the kitchen.

We had an unavoidable delayed arrival and the team were really helpful in removing any stress, making sure our arrival was smooth and simple. the house was clean, very well presented and had anything we needed for our 5 night stay. the rear balcony had fantastic views of the castle and town walls. absolutely nothing but exceptional.

the downstairs TV didn’t switch on, but who would want to watch it anyway with views like this property has from the rear balcony?!

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights. The property is a beautiful little house in a small street. The place was immaculate and very welcoming. lots of books and useful guides. Bedrooms are good. We used the bed and the bottom bunk and both were very comfortable. The balcony is an added bonus, you can see the castle from here. The kitchen is very modern and is fully equipped with everything you need. The shower is large and powerful. Towels, shampoo body wash etc all provided. The location is amazing, so close to the front and the high street.

Very close to the centre of town, so all areas easy to walk to and easy access. Easy to keep tidy, plus a car park nearby, only disadvantage of it is each day is £5.20 so it can be expensive for a long stay! All items needed were there to use. Good for a short stay.

There were a few areas that needed fixing, the main issue was the window to bathroom could not be shut so made property less secure as it was off outside space so access could accur, shower needed a new handle to shut it which they know about. Once have a bit of money would get double glazing, light sleeper woken up easily a lot of noise from outside. The property is nice just a lot of wear to it now. Car park would be expensive if a long stay, but this is stated in description. Only issue we had was not many places to eat in the evening which maybe needed to point out, I know this is not the owners fault, just the way things are at the moment!

Vastly over priced. The location was in a very unkempt street which was very noisy at night time, after closing time at the pubs. You couldn’t regulate the temperature of the shower and so it was dangerously scolding and unusable. Appliances and heating not easy to use.

Short break in a lovely little town

The location is very good. It's convenient for all of the shops and services within the town and access to the walls, castle, station etc. Wi-fi connection is good (and free) and the roof terrace is a great bonus - especially when the sun is out.

Parking is a bit restricted and on occasion we had to park in the long stay car park outside the city walls.However, it's only approximately 150 yards away - and 50p overnight. A price well worth paying for the central location. Just a small point but the bin arrangements were a bit confusing - especially after the street's bins were emptied. Perhaps the owners could add the house number to the bins?

A home away from home

The cottage is close to the station but in a quiet part of town. The double bed is comfortable (the bunk beds less so), and the kitchen is well-equipped, with an effective washer/drier. The lounge is spacious, and there is a nice view from the terrace of the castle over roofs and chimney pots. Colin responded promptly to a couple of problems that arose, replacing a cracked coffee plunger and removing a smoke alarm that had started beeping at night.

The scratched Teflon frying pans were unusable!
