Lost potential

Location is good and rooms are spacious.

Price is really high and there are several additional costs on top. Rooms do not have air-conditioning and they get really hot at sunshine. Check-in procedures are complicated and due that you need to wait long time. Even room price is high the breakfast may not be included and also that is over priced, heavily.

Peaceful modern apartment directly on the beach with the poor customer service

Property is dislocated from the city in a separate resort. For those who enjoy peace and quiet it’s an excellent opportunity to disconnect. Beach is in immediate proximity and easy to access. Inside the building there is a midsized pool and the gym. Outside there is enough space for the jogging. Apartment was specious, clean and well equipped with new furniture.

Communication with the hotel staff was horrible. - Don't respond to emails - Don't answer the phone when we called them. - phone details not clear in booking.con page - the gate at the entrance to the resort doesn’t work, and we had to go on foot 300 meter to the reception to get some contact with the staff - other then jogging, swimming or gym I did not see any tennis court nor possibility for other sports

Great view, very relaxed atmosphere. Free bus to Binz.

The sauna was warm, not hot. There was no real shower, just a tub. There was a damage in the bathroom. The reception desk is only open in the afternoon.

Nice place, at the beach

BIG room, with everything you need, fridge, you can make food here, and in toilet there is an extra SAUNA!! Fantastic.

Staff at the reception desk was very kind and trying to do their best to compensate all hotel's shortcommings.

It looks that the hotel is terribly understaffed. On arrival it turned out that our room was not yet ready and we must have waited 2h for our room to be cleaned.

A really bad stay due to bad service at the hotel, lack of staff and no cleaning for 6 days.

The beach was very nice, and the room itself was as well. It was just destroyed by the really bad service at the hotel.

There was nothing wrong with the suite, but after many hours of driving from Denmark, we needed a shower. Unfortunately, that was not an option, because there were no towels! Not a very good start, but of course we could pick up some at the reception. The reception was not staffed, but we did find an employee who could inform us that the hotel unfortunately had no more towels??? Unfortunately, we had booked 6 nights at the Hotel DORMERO which is not at all geared for longer stays due to: 1. A lack of towels. This was a problem all week. 2. A lack of toilet paper. 3. A lack of cleaning. No cleaning was done at all during the entire period we stayed there: 6 nights. 4. Food waste etc. was not removed the whole week, so we had to bring the waste to the reception ourselves when the smell got too bad in the room. The hotel had also run out of plastic bags that fit in the waste bin, so we got bags that were too small for the bin. 5. A lack of a permanent receptionist (there was only a sporadic employee at the reception who was not customer friendly at all. STEP BY STEP was his slogan, so the guests had to arm themselves with patience. 6. In general, there was a lack of staff at the hotel. Therefore, our stay at the hotel did absolutely not contribute to giving us a good holiday and was absolutely not worth the amount of money we paid for it. We cannot at all recommend Dormero hotel in Prora.

Liked the location and the modern, refurbished interior of the room. Kids enjoyed the wellness section as well. In the morning we had a great breakfast fueling us for the day. Even free drinks are in the fridge to get the 1st moment smooth in the rooms, perfekt!

Old used drinks in the fridge. Shower didn’t worked well. Windows were very dirty. Maybe sand and salt outside. To expansive for this low standard.

Hopeless check-in, great apartment

Impressive building and beach. Once we found our hotel apartment it was fantastic: two large bedrooms, loads of communal space, fully equipped kitchen and impressive bathroom with a super shower 'cave'. All very modern and comfortable.

No staff for check-in! We struggled to find the hotel car park and rang the hotel on the number supplied at booking and got an automatic message asking us to ring back another time. We even started doubting that the hotel existed, as we couldn't find it, or speak to anyone. We did eventually find the hotel - by NOT following GPS or signs for hotel - and could SEE the car park, but not get over there. By then it was very late in the evening, and we were tired after having driven all day. But the hotel check-in desk was unmanned, and there wasn't a soul in the large lobby bar, either. The whole place was absolutely deserted and frankly a bit eerie. We could have drunk all the bottles in the bar, but we would rather find a bed. We spent over half an hour calling out loudly, ringing the bell many times and calling the hotel on the phone - to no avail. We started considering sleeping in the car, as no other hotels were nearby. Eventually, a lady strolled in casually, and said: 'ah, you must be the missing guests!' No apology or explanation or understanding why we were angry. She pointed to a sheet of paper on the desk, where halfway down a whole page of German text, there was another number to ring for housekeeping. We explained we came from England, had booked via an international site and didn't speak German, but she just laughed and said that was unusual. This is the most unprofessional check-in I have ever experienced, and completely unacceptable.

Disappointing

Its clean. Good breakfast.

Staff at reception are not very helpful Being a vacation hotel, the location is not nice. No atmosphere, no where is the sea visible from the hotel. We arrived lThursday at 19:30 and could not get anything to eat at the location but had to drive to sassnitz for a meal. No help from staff there.

Great location (very historical). The apartments are new, well appointed.

Breakfast was ok but not great considering the price. No nearby restaurant, you need to drive to the nearest town. Staff is not 24x7 (disappointing considering the price). Also, considering the history of the place, there could be a bit more information about this.

Nice place and human error.

Nice place and hotel. Parking not so easy, you must have access first. Breakfast was standard nordic style. You have small kitchen to make own breakfast. Nice balcony.

The breakfast was expensive. The kitchen employees were not friendly. On the drinks table was open sparkling wine bottle and my wife pour from interesting blue wine. She took a sip on her mouth and found out it was some kind dish washer liquid in sparkling wine bottle. She complained the employees and tried to get sample for hospital if needed. She couldn't get the name or sample of the liquid. The manager refused and explained it was human error because the kitchen employees can not read. Oh my Goodness. Be aware what you are eating or drinking, you can be poisoned. The hotel employees didn't take any responsibility at all.

Wrote a detailed review of the experience on google. It’s a pathetic experience, in the name of apart hotel, they rent out someone’s home as an apartment. The staff does not understand hospitality.

Room was great - breakfast great (although frustrating that it cost 20 Euro extra per person). Personnel were very helpful.

Parking spot was assigned but on day two of our stay, someone took our spot and hotel did nothing about it - meaning we had to park farther away. I though the value was a bit lacking - hotel was expensive, given its location (far from Binz strand) and breakfast was extra.

Winnie in Prora

Amazing view of the Baltic Sea, easy access to the beach, comfortable furnishings, our Dackel Winnie was allowed

Modern hotel in a place with very interesting history

Modern apartment with spacious rooms, location a short walk from the beach. Very unusual place, considering its history - not very romantic or cozy, but extremely interesting :) A more traditional seaside resort - Binz - is a very nice walk away. COVID-19 restrictions meant no buffet breakfast, but breakfast boxes were big and diversified.

Kurz aber mit Wiederholung.

Später Check Inn . Der Mitarbeiter rief uns an, ob alles okay ist und wann er mit uns rechnen kann. Vor Ort dann sehr freundlicher MA. Er hat uns alles erklärt und uns dann zum Appartement geführt und auch dort noch mal alles gezeigt und erklärt. Super sympathisch und kompetent.

Trotzdem schön wegen der Lage.

Lage

Sauberkeit der Wohnung mit deutlicher Luft nach oben. Heizung funktionierte nicht richtig und wurde mehrfach reklamiert. Irgendwann lief sie dann. Ein gleichwertiges Zimmer konnte nicht angeboten werden. Service eher schlecht.
