Iona Pods

Great location, 10- 15 minute walk from ferry, although the owner, Will, contacted me before arrival to offer a lift as it was raining heavily. The Pods are fantastic and the site facilities are pristine. Everything was fab except the weather! Pods are modern, beautifully furnished, nicely situated with their own individual paths. Visibility wasn't great during this stay, but the pods look straight out to the sea and small islands and over to Mull. 20 min walk to amazing beaches. A little window in the back of the pod overlooked a field with tall wild flowers and grasses blowing in the wind. The pods are warm and even the sound of rain on the roof added to the feeling of cosiness. Shower + washing up/laundry block immaculately clean and well kept. Thank you to the folks who keep it that way. Can't recommend highly enough!

Weather, obviously couldn't be helped! Aside from that there's nothing to dislike, the owners have thought of everything!

Clean, convenient and cozy. Comfortable beds and sofa. Lovely views and helpful staff who helped with laundry, tourism suggestions, etc. It rained the whole time and we still had a great stay.

We didn’t have en suite bathroom so it was inconvenient for evening bathroom use. But it’s glamping so it’s expected.

It’s set in a beautiful location with super views. The pods are compact but bijou, and easy to keep warm Very clean and spacious shower/toilet:kitchen/laundry blocks. The proprietor (Will) was very friendly and helpful when we were on the site. I left my pillow behind (as we had an early-ish departure) which he promised he’d post to my home.

We didn’t know a car permit was required to get onto the island, so we had a flurry of very last minute calls to the local council to ensure we could take our car onto the ferry as my partner has significant mobility issues. We felt that the proprietor wasn’t apologetic for this serious oversight in communication, and it should be made VERY clear to everyone booking that visiting vehicles are largely not permitted. We also thought the pods were a tad over priced. Bed was too hard for us to sleep on.
