It was a lovely experience and especially liked the country kitchen and the owner, Hannah, is a gem.

The Arle Farmhouse is set in a beautiful and accessible location by the sea. It is tidy and comfortable and very well loved.

I had a hard time with the mustiness off a 150 year old home. Can’t help this in Scotland after it rains.

The house was nicely furnished and decorated. I loved the wood panelling and it was quite spacious. The kitchen was great with everything you needed to cook a meal easily. We had no problems with wifi. I had taken a book in case, I didn't have the option of using the internet, but didn't read it!

I didn't like the bathroom being at the front door downstairs. An additional bathroom or shower/ WC upstairs would have been great. I also prefer gas central heating to electric, or if we could have lit the fire in the dining room, (a log burner) which was clearly not to be used.

Beautiful

What an incredible place to stay! The view is spectacular, the farmhouse so spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bedrooms had plenty of room to hang clothes up as well as chests of draws, and the beds were soft and comfy. There is so much space downstairs, with a room to chill by the tv and a room to eat your dinner with a lovely window seat where I sat to look over the view and read a book, as well as a generous outdoor area and picnic bench from which to watch the swallows and sparrows. The kitchen is well equipped with saucepans, utensils, crockery, baking trays, a huge fridge freezer, a very effective oven, a microwave, chopping boards - everything you could possibly need. The shower was powerful and hot too. It was a perfect home away from home, and one I was very reluctant to leave!

Lovely house in a beautiful location.

We'd thought the house looked a little bit basic from the photos, but it was far nicer than expected. The kitchen was modern and well equipped, and the rest of the rooms were simple but very comfortable. The location is ideal - only half an hour max from the ferry, and 10 minutes into Tobermory. We went to every corner of the island during our stay, and the longest drive was to Fionnhport for the ferry to Iona (just over an hour and a half). The views from the garden over the loch are stunning, and you can walk down the farm track to the sea in a few minutes - we didn't see otters there, but there were lots of birds and seals. The perfect cottage for our needs.

A pleasant, spacious holiday house which provides provides adequate accommodation.

Location fine- part of a small complex of holiday apartments. Beautifully decorated renovation. Great views, lovely and clean. Spacious. Easy to find.

Although photographs show a stove, this is purely for show and it not in use which was a pity because heating was mainly by storage heaters which struggled with October temperatures. Only toilet was downstairs and just off an unheated entrance vestibule- not a pleasant experience in the middle of the night.

Lovely house and location. Very clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful views. The kitchen was lovely and modern, had everything we needed and the bedrooms were bright and very comfortable.

We thought there could be a little more furniture. There were 4 adults and so not enough seating in the living room for all of us. Also, only one bedroom had chest of drawers and a wardrobe. We also wondered if perhaps a couple of photos of the outside are out of date as the garden was smaller than we thought.
