Agroturismo Son Alzines

Staying in Son Alzines was good since minute one with the amazing staff. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, very well equipped and with a good shower. It's location in the middle of the Tramuntana mountains, makes it quiet and provided us with stunning views. The food was another great part, good breakfast with local food and delicious dinner!

A tranquil stay in this beautiful location and a lovely estate with maintained gardens and an excellent swimming pool with a cosy breakfast area. Plenty of parking, is remote so ideal for rest and nearest town is Pollenca, 20 minutes by car. The suite has a kitchenette so ideal for cooking an evening meal as we did.

Breakfast needs improving and more items.

The accommodation is located in the mountains and has a breathtaking view of the mountains. As the area is UNESCO heritage, there’s nothing 5km before and after this accommodation. You can enjoy nice private holidays in the nature.

I am not very satisfied with our stay comparing to our stay in other accommodations in Mallorca which was in similar or even lower price. First, the house. Our house has a bad problem with ants. We could not leave any food on the floor, table, kitchen counter or even in a drawer, all the food had to be in either microwave or fridge. The staff said it is due to the heat wave this year, but thinking that the earth is getting warmer and warmer, they need to prepare better for this. We had to spray the bug spray every morning and night to kill the ants. The bug problem was not only in the house but also in the swimming pool, there were so many dead flies, bees and ants floating and sinking down in the swimming pool, we did not feel comfortable to swim freely. Secondly, location. This actually can be good for some people. As it is in UNESCO heritage, there’s nothing 5km radius of this accommodation. The closest beach is 20 minute driving and some big city which has nice restaurants and bars is also more than 25 min driving. Third is the value for the price. The breakfast is not included in the price. And it is 15 euros per person. It is a nice breakfast, yes, but other agriturismo we went in Mallorca were cheaper than this one and it was including breakfast. I believe there are many other agriturismo which is similar or cheaper than this one and provide breakfast. We also had a dinner here one night, 30 euros per person. It was good but the main course was a bit weak as it was a grilled pork with a half potato and grilled peppers. The lady who served us the dinner kept asking to order wine, making a weird atmosphere that we have to.. wasn’t so pleased with the service. The laundry was also a bit too expensive, which is 5 euros for the washing machine and 5 euros for dryer. We didn’t use the dryer, and we were not allowed to dry the clothes outside so we had to hang all of it inside the house.
