Magical family Christmas near Leuven
The design and layout of the place, it's location means it's peaceful and you won't be disturbed, we are a family of 5 and the 3 bedrooms were perfect for us. The kitchen is well equipped, the living area was perfect.for out Christmas dinner and there is a shopping centre with two supermarkets, an Action store and a bowling centre 15 to 20 mins walk or a 6 min drive away. It has a parking area and a garage too. Paul is an excellent and helpful host too. All in all it was the perfect location for a magical family Christmas. The ambience - the house looks like something from a gothic fairy tale inside.
There are lots of steep steps, and the entrance is on a steep sloping driveway. You do need a car, to bring your bikes or to be able to pay for Ubers/taxis if you want to get into Leuven or if you need to get shopping in. Would have been useful to have had a few more pictures in the listing. And the mattress in the bedroom my wife and I slept in was a soft mattress, great for some, but I'm a form mattress man.

The house is equipped with almost everything you can imagine for a house away from home… great attention to detail with an extra twist of the remarkable and unusual style of the house!
A shower (and a separate toilet) for the upstairs bedrooms would make it even better.

A truly quirky Belgian gem! Not to be missed.
This place is incredible! The friendly host welcomed us and gave us a tour, and we were so excited to see such interesting artefacts, all over the house. It is such a quirky place to say with gorgeously comfy beds. Each day you stay, you notice new features in the decor or the way the house has been put together and it is simply fascinating. Our children had such a wonderful bedroom too, and to have the opportunity to relax in the hot tub was also a great bonus. Set on the edge of the forest, there are great walks around the property and the tranquility was so much appreciated, even though you are so close to the motorway and connecting routes. A real treat. Next time, we hope to stay longer and take more time just to sit and admire the house itself.

Es war uns nicht warm genug, die Sauna heizte nur bis 47Grad und der Whirlpool sprudelte kaum wahrnehmbar.

Geweldig weekend gehad!
Prachtig huis, op een fijne, rustige locatie en voorzien van alle gemakken. Paul geeft je een welkom gevoel en heeft overal voor gezorgd. De jacuzzi is heerlijk, de bedden zijn comfortabel, er zijn meer dan genoeg handdoeken beschikbaar en voor veel basisdingen als koffie, thee, water, olie en kruiden is gezorgd. Zeker een aanrader!
