Villa Viuli

The grounds of the villa are beautiful, and Hugo, the dog, greeted us enthusiastically upon arrival. We told Ernesto, the owner, that we were doing a wine tasting nearby, and he not only knew the owner but also knew the winery’s private shuttle driver. So Ernesto called the winery and arranged for the shuttle to take us directly back to Villa Viuli rather than using the regular train stops, which were a bit confusing. He has amazing knowledge of the area and the people in it, and is super helpful in recommending places to eat, what to see, and who to put you in touch with so that the experience is as smooth as possible. Our room was fully air-conditioned, and it had a lovely balcony from which we could see Capri and Vesuvio, too. I enjoyed perusing through the book collection inside the room that night. Also, the breakfast croissants were amazing! It was a fantastic one-night stay at Villa Viuli, as we were on our way to the Amalfi Coast afterwards and only stopped for a visit to Pompeii and a lunch at Cantina del Vesuvio. However, we plan to return to Villa Viuli with Ernesto at his fabulously situated villa again in the future. The next time we will be staying much longer to enjoy his fantastic hospitality. We highly recommend Villa Viuli for your next visit, as well!

There was nothing we didn't like, really. The only thing to note is that there is no elevator, as this is a villa, so keep in mind you’ll be carrying luggage up the stairs. Or else Ernesto will help you with it. However, if you have a lot of luggage, as we did, since we were traveling for a month, it will feel like an imposition to ask for help with heavy luggage. Additionally, if you didn’t provide your passport information before the trip, please try to do so in person upon arrival. That way, the owner will have it on record.

Lovely spacious room, quiet balcony overlooking sorrento and Capri. Ernesto, the host, speaks brilliant English and was very helpful. Town is a 10 minute stroll down hill, loads of places to eat. Try the roast chicken shop!

We were very happy to stay at Villa Violi. The villa is magical with a historical and artistic scent, surrounded by a tangerine orchard, well-kept and green vegetation. Breakfast is recommended, emphasis on the homemade croissant, especially delicious. Ernesto was a perfect host and took care of us with every question and request. We will definitely return there in the future.

The villa is very nice with large garden and great pool. Ernesto, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed beautiful seaview from our room and terrace. Perfect location to visit Pompei, Vesuvio and Napoli.
