A Serene Escape

Staying at Quintessens Apartment was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking sea view that greeted us each morning—an ever-changing canvas of light and tranquillity. The apartment itself was a haven of calm and refinement. Immaculately clean, it offered a perfect balance of simplicity and elegance. The decor was thoughtfully curated—minimalist yet warm, with subtle touches that made the space feel both stylish and welcoming. It was the kind of place that invites you to slow down and savour the moment. Nestled in a chic neighbourhood, charming cafés within walking distance and coastal walks that make exploring a joy. Whether you're sipping coffee by the sea or just taking a walk, everything feels effortlessly sophisticated. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of my next visit. Quintessen isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel at home.

Well, this is just something we observed. There was only one mirror in the bathroom, and that's a no-no for a house with 3 ladies.

Disappointing

The apartment was spacious for 3 people stay and air-conditioning in both rooms.

The location was super quiet, it was very hard to get a taxi or Uber. The supplies were very limited, such as garbage bags, toilet rolls, no appliances to cook or bake such as blender or baking trays. The checkout was very unfriendly, we were not trusted to take our things down, and the key was taken over before we were doing errands to put our suitcases on the ground floor.

Exceptional

It's an amazing place to stay. We spent the new year holiday at Sophie's beautiful appartment. There is a big terrace that you can dine and drink outside, with very nice view of the coast. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped that you can find nearly everything you want. The appartment was also clean and well maintained.

It would be nice if a bit more coffee capsules were supplied~

The location is not for everybody. You need a car to get even bread. The beach is min 15 minutes walking. Good restaurants are far away. It took 40 minutes to get the centre by car

Exceptional

Modern, bright apartment with excellent facilities. Excellent location for La Point Rouge and easy access into Marseille centre. Wonderful large terrace for dining and relaxing. Fabulous sea and inland views, great location for viewing sunsets over La Pointe Rouge. Very quiet building, apartments very private and well designed complex.

Quelques petits détails d’équipement qui n’ont pas altéré notre séjour : manque surtout un four dans la cuisine Le couchage dans la salle est vraiment un appoint plutôt pour 1 enfant/ado. Situation pas à proximité des principaux centre d’intérêts autour du vieux port mais c’était un choix personnel de localisation qui nous convenait parfaitement (possibilité de rejoindre le centre par la navette de la RTM a -15mn de marche qui allie l’utile à l’agréable en longeant la Corniche)

Top Lage, schlechte Organisation.

Die Lage ist hervorragend: Die Innenstadt ist mit dem Auto in maximal 15 Minuten erreichbar. Der Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar – während unseres Aufenthalts war es sehr windig, sodass das Zuschauen der Windsurfer zu einem echten Erlebnis wurde. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einer umzäunten Wohnanlage. Trotz der Größe des Komplexes ist es dort angenehm ruhig. Der Flughafen ist mit dem Auto in etwa 35 Minuten erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist gut geschnitten. Die großzügige Terrasse bietet nach links Meerblick und nach rechts einen Blick auf die Berge. Sie ist direkt vom Wohnzimmer aus zugänglich und bietet einen imposanten Ausblick.

Weniger überzeugt hat uns die Organisation vor Ort. Die Abstimmung bei der Ankunft war wenig flexibel und erforderte eine genaue Koordination. Am Tag der Anreise erfuhren wir zudem, dass eine Kaution in Höhe von 500 Euro ausschließlich in bar zu hinterlegen ist. Zwar war eine Kaution angekündigt, aber dass diese bar gezahlt werden muss, war im Vorfeld nicht klar – im Zeitalter kontaktloser Zahlungen wirkt das nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Die Küchenausstattung ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig: Die Kochplatte ist sehr schwach, selbst einfache Gerichte wie Spaghetti zu kochen, wird zur Geduldsprobe. Die vorhandenen Teflon-Töpfe sind stark zerkratzt und sollten dringend ausgetauscht werden. Auch das Parken gestaltete sich umständlich: Man fährt zunächst in eine sehr enge Tiefgarage und muss anschließend noch eine separate Einzelgarage aufschließen. Die Garage kostet 10 Euro pro Tag und ist extra zu bezahlen. Verwundert hat uns zudem, dass der Vermieter für den Abreisetag einen Elektrikertermin zwischen 7:30 Uhr und 12:00 Uhr vereinbart hatte – obwohl wir bereits bei der Anreise mitgeteilt hatten, dass wir um 9:00 Uhr abreisen möchten. Zwar kam der Elektriker bis zu unserer Abreise nicht, aber am Abreisetag braucht man so eine Sache nicht. Warum der Termin nicht nach unserer Abreise angesetzt wurde, bleibt unklar.
