The Like Hostel & Cafe

Incredibly social house, with lots of lovely people to interact with, including the beautiful staff! There was a WhatsApp group chat for everyone to meet and talk to each other (that I forgot to join lol) The rooftop was such a vibe and a great place to chat with other guests and have a cheeky dart. The rooms were adequately sized, however only one person could have their suitcase open on the floor at a time, limited walkspace.

There was a constant foul smell in the bathroom, the entire bathroom facility on my floor was really off putting. Shower head in a suspicious state, bathroom sink really tiny, very minimal shelf and hook space. Air con in the room wasn’t always cold or strong. Appreciate that this could be at fault of the other guests, and that this was a 100-year-old house that I was staying at!

When we originally arrived there wasn’t anyone on reception. There was a member of staff resting but she wasn’t at all welcoming. The member of staff who checked us in some hours later was delightful but we didn’t appreciate there was a roof top terrace until the next day. The WiFi was a little flaky in the bedrooms

Great place for meeting people, secure lockers, wifi worked well just have to connect to each level your on, cute little roof top, mum cooks for the guests every few nights, great location, secure lockers, and great value, I extended my stay and the girls organised a better bed for me was much more comfortable.

Nice location in the city centre.

No proper place to store your luggage in the room. The locker did not work at the beginning. Next to that, the hall that went to my dorm had a very bad smell.
