2Stories Empire Duplex at Damansara Perdana

I’ve stayed in other units in this duplex loft style type building before, so I knew what to expect — an older unit in a location that works perfectly for me. It’s close to my home, my favorite malls, and public transport. While it may not be ideal for those who need to be downtown frequently, it’s incredibly convenient if you’re focused on this part of the city. (On this point it still never took me more than 20 mins to get to the city center off peak hours). The room was in good, livable condition and had everything I needed for a short-term stay. There’s even a laundry place right downstairs in the commercial area, which was very handy. Compared to hotels and smaller accommodations, the value for money is excellent — you get plenty of space for the price. The staff managing the property was probably the highlight of my review because I did unfortunately run into some crucial issues that I only became aware of after the fact. The lady manager (Teng, I believe) was super patient, attentive, adept to problem solving, and even answered my messages at odd hours. Nb. Please don't take my last sentence as a green light to (overtly) disturb the staff after hours though, lol.

If I had to nitpick, I’d mention the lack of a balcony and a few minor signs of wear and tear, but that’s only me looking very closely for faults. I also think that the duplex style although offering more estate grounds is not for everybody and the staircase is very steep. Like 30cm for one step (please correct me if I unintentionally exaggerated my estimate) so if your health is poorer it may be an issue. Overall, a comfortable, practical, and well-priced option.

+ great location and many shops (restaurant, cafes, convenience stores, laundry) in ground floor area of the apartment + there are 4 lifts at the building so you won’t need to wait for a long time + spacious and modern design of the unit + kitchen utensils are provided

- bed sheet, blanket, and pillows : quite old and looks “not fresh”, need to be replaced with new ones

Modern, near the mamak restaurant if hungry and 24 hours shop, beutiful building and design

Parking is not provided; visitors have to pay for parking themselves, which is very expensive—RM3 upon entry and an additional RM1 per hour. There should be improvements, such as providing free parking. The place is not suitable for families with small children because there are stairs to access the upper floor. The bathroom floor is not very clean, and the provided pillows do not have pillowcase and shower not have the hot water
