House of Arts

We loved the apartment - it is full of character, sizeable, with outside space too ok overlooking garden and fields. The two bedrooms are supported by a lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and utility room. Everything is quirky and as the name suggests decorated with modern art, traditional crafts and books that reflect Pella's cultural heritage. The host was on site, but by no means intrusive and it was easy to walk into the town centre, though check what's open.

Really nothing of consequence. Pella is not easy to get to without a car but we managed a combination of trains and taxis. The only thing the apartment lacks is an up to date bathroom, though that wouldn't fit the quirky style so well.

House of Arts is a truly unique place with a very special atmosphere — it feels almost like staying inside a small museum. The property has a lot of character, and the host was very warm, welcoming, and kind. It was definitely a memorable experience, not a standard accommodation.

The main downside was the cleanliness and usability of the kitchen. There was quite a lot of dirt, so it was almost impossible to use it comfortably. Also, the bathroom did not have a shower curtain, so water was leaking onto the bath mat and the floor during showering. These details made the stay less comfortable than it could have been.

The host was really friendly.

The floor was kind of broken and the location was a little bit hard to find.

Leuk ruim appartement met alles erop en eraan. Je waant je in een galerie, maar de kunst is niet te koop. Goed uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan de archeologische sites in de omgeving.

Veel blaffen van honden in de nacht.
