São Paulo Boutique Guesthouse

This guesthouse definitely stands out. The style and architecture of the property are remarkable. The location is right in the center of Tavira, yet it is very quiet and peaceful. I didn’t regret choosing this little guesthouse at all! The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The pictures and description of the property are an accurate reflection of what you will find. I recommend it with no hesitation!

Excellent breakfast, beautiful hotel with great art style. Lovely balcony with a cool pool.

The hotel is in a really beautiful building, the design is nice.

1.) The breakfast was a complete disappointment. Not a lot of thing but ok, we came late so understandable that there is not everything available. But that there is only a serve yourself Nespresso and no fresh eggs etc was a letdown. For a hotel at this price level I expect more. The weakest breakfast of all places we stayed in Portugal. 2.) There were ants on the floor throughout the stay. And we had no food in the room, so did not cause it. 3.) The staff was not the most welcoming. It also felt the whole time like they try to save money. Watering the soap they provide, breakfast etc. 4.) The room was not well maintained. The door to the garden did not close properly, it should have been repaired long ago. It felt like saving money instead of updating rooms is more important. Because of that it was also noisy. They „don‘t disturb sign“ on the room door was apparently also no reason to not talk loudly in front of it.. 5.) The cleaning woman left a window of our room open one day - on the ground floor. So much for security. Anyone could have entered. Overall, it feels like this place could be so much better. I would not stay there again, unfortunately. I really wanted to like this place.
