Quinta Paços do Lago

The location was excellent - 40 mins by car to either end of the island, very quiet and not at all touristy. A magnificent view of the ocean from the whole place. Very clean, staff very friendly. We had a lot of room to ourselves. For once there were shelves in the bathroom for toiletries, much appreciated.

We cooked a lot, so would have appreciated sharper knives and some recycling bins. We missed a sun umbrella for the terrace.

The hotel is in a quiet rural area with a magnificent view to a valley and the ocean. It was very easy to find. We were welcomed warmly on arrival and received a bunch of useful information about the island and the restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, super clean, absolutely perfect. There is a small pool area that looked nice, however honestly we did not have the energy to use it after each days walking on the mountains. The breakfast was nice, with eggs freshly made by very kind people. We have arrived by car, there was enough parking places for everyone. There is an extremely good local restaurant in a 2min walking distance. To sum it up, if we go to Madeira again we will surely stay here again.

Nothing for us but some people staying in the studios might not like the number of steps leading down to the accommodation

Two couples (my husband, the old friend of mine and her husband) stayed in Quinta Paços do Lago for about a week. After we had left and came back to Israel, I wanted to summarize the impressions obtained - and thus asked myself: what does it mean "full relax" for me as well as for the members of my family and for my friends when we have our vacations? Yes, you're absolutely right( it's not something special and/or original) - comfort and pleasure combined! And you'll really get them both when you stay as guests in Quinta Paços do Lago First, you'll enjoy the tremendous view - hills of Madeira covered with evergreen trees around you and Atlantic ocean behind you will calm you and refresh your body and soul; eventual silence makes pleasure really complete. Secondly (but not less important!)- you'll be really charmed by the benevolent service of the stuff led by Аnnabel...They really want you to have a lot of pleasure and comfort during your rest. So, after the unforgettable vacations we had, I definitely advise to everybody: if you want to have a wonderful rest in Madeira - don't hesitate: stay in Quinta Paços do Lago Don't look for anything instead!
