The bed was comfortable

It made me sick there was such a bad smell that bad that I couldn't sleep nobody even had a shower we brushed our teeth in the kitchen 😫 and went toilet somewhere else not happy at all Absolutely disgusting 🫣

Excellent stay. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful views.

The host was very friendly and showed me everything I needed to know about the house and the local area.

Could connect to the WIFI. Tried both codes: one from the welcome book and the other from the device. Though I was able to get the TV to connect to the WIFI. Bathroom needs a little bit of work. Found hairs on the toilet. Shower requires the protection band to be glued.

Lovely set of cottages

There was an unpleasant odour in the 3 bed cottage lounge - apparently from a septic tank nearby. Had our stay been longer we would have requested to be moved but it was a one night stay and we arrived at tea time I didn't bother - we were all tired after a long journey. The host, Kath explained it was to do with the septic tank when I queried it but I would have liked to have been informed of this odour in the cottage before our arrival as it was rather offputting Could also benefit from a few books/puzzles/toys for kids for a rainy day.

The place was beautiful. Remote and so quiet with a beautiful view but close enough to where we had planned to visit (Alton towers). Kathy and her husband were amazing hosts who met us with keys, so helpful and gave it that special touch. Can’t wait to visit again.

Brief but lovely stay

Kath was very kind and showed us all about our cottage, gave us tips on where to eat, and how to operate the hot water heater. The space is really lovely, all brick, lots of light with nice windows and a good view. The area is very quiet and surrounded with pastures. We really liked it and would have gladly stayed here longer if we had the time!

Great property, great location

Fabulous location, the property had everything we needed. Check in was very easy and Kath explained everything that we needed to know including places to eat (thanks for telling us about Hetty's - we went it was fab) I required an ironing and Kath produced one for me. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great too. Kath also came to see us as we were leaving to make sure we'd been ok. In the words of Four In a Bed, would I stay here again? Yes! Yes I would!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. There were one or two cobwebs which obviously tend to have little lodgers in them 🕷️, but I accept that no one can keep the little blighters out 🤣 nothing a piece of toilet roll can't fix.

Very adequate for our overnight stop over.

There was a lovely view but not actually from the downstairs of the cottage we stayed in. The cottage had everything we needed for our overnight stay. There was plenty of hot water for showers. The host was very friendly and chatty ad told us about the local environment.

The rooms were adequate but not roomy. There was a lot of equipment in the kitchen but the vegetable knives were not great.

Felt a bit tired, aged, old furnishings and dusty / cobwebs. Could do with some investment in the interior, sofas / bathroom / beds cooker etc. could consider a dishwasher also?

Bank top farm cottages

The location was stunning and property was great. Plenty of free parking for what we needed. Outside seated area was superb as weather was great. Kath was fabulous, greeted us on arrival and told us all about everything to do etc. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for clothing ,bags etc . Great shower was powerful enough for a lovely shower. Nice cosy lounge kitchen area . Only there one night but really enjoyed it .

As a quaint converted barn with nice original features. The overall cleanliness could've been a little better, a dirty towel left as a hand towel in the bathroom although all the others were clean . The toilet seat was new but behind it was grubby . Windows full of cobwebs . Just little things . Cups in cupboard needed scrubbing before use . Other than that all ok. Perhaps cleaning products for the shower and squeegy would be good to keep it cleaner after use .

Location Location Location! The views are spectacular! It was so cosy and warm and had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the whole place is sympathetically decorated to the surroundings. Kath is very welcoming and most informative of the area. Although the property is on the farm it is also very private.

Amazing stay, highly recommend

I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. We loved the little cottage and waking up to the view each day was stunning. Great to come back too after 2 busy days at Alton towers (20 minutes drive away) The owner Kath, could not do enough and was on hand when needed. The coffee, tea, milk and biscuits was a lovely touch on arrival. Would 100% stay again

I would have preferred more info about collecting the keys prior to arrival. We ended up going to the farm house as we weren't sure. Although there was room for 4 of us it was cosy!

The location was beautiful. We were out in the countryside, but close enough to local amenities such as the local supermarket etc. We as a family had travelled to go to Alton Towers and we were just a 20 minute drive there each day,

Lovely cottage in a beautiful village with great hosts!

Such a lovely cottage. The owners couldn't be more welcoming accommodating and helpful. It made our trip absolutely wonderful. Their cottages were well appointed and still comfortable, not prissy. Which meant we could relax and enjoy a warm meal together rather than worrying about smudging some fancy glassware. Tommy only added to the experience.
