Was lovely clean property

The shower was awful and the bed in the master bedroom was really uncomfortable

Everything was lovely.

The shower was difficult to navigate. Even following the instructions it was hard to figure out.

Great location for Alton Towers, set in a lovely little village with a nice heritage trail, useful shops and pubs. Good setup for the property, sleeps 5 people, parking easy. Had everything we needed. PS4 to access media was awesome!

Only minor niggles. (two) folddown beds in the living room but the sheets didn't fit the one my son wanted to use. The cool "mini-pool set" was a bit broken which made it not really playable.

The location to Alton Towers was ok, around 25 mins drive. The main bedroom was big. The bathroom was nice.

The single beds are narrow - only just the width of a standard pillow, so as an adult, it felt like I would roll off! The cutlery and plates/bowls were dirty! And the kitchen sponge was filthy, so couldn't clean the the plates etc with it. I also called the owner, as on arrival there was an incessant beeping, like from a smoke alarm with low battery. We searched, couldn't find it. Called the owner, left a message - still haven't had a call back! We eventually found a faulty carbon detector, hidden in a cupboard- it was that beeping! 1 smoke alarm (living room) had no battery at all in it. TV channels didn't work, terrible signal. The pics in the listing show table football etc - it implies a games area. This isn't the case. There are some very small, table top size, games stacked under a unit in the living room. They weren't in the best condition.
