Perfect location for Alton Towers

We’ve stayed in this cottage twice now as it’s perfect for us after a day in Alton towers. The kitchen has all the facilities needed to cook your own food or there’s a McDonald’s 9 minutes away in the car if you don’t fancy cooking. The property was lovely and clean and there are tv’s in both bedrooms. Nice size bathroom with bath and shower.

The noise from the road can be quite loud when trying to sleep but not an issue

The noise of the heating woke me, the water pressure is shocking. And I know it's nothing to do with property but the noise of the lose drain cover on the road outside drove me nuts.

Cosy, spacious & good value - Would highly recommend

We absolutely loved the cosy cottage! Was spacious, clean, close to Alton Towers, close to shops and amenities, quiet and comfortable - Loved the exposed beans, hot shower & games provided

The TV downstairs lost connection a couple times but it didn't bother us and came back pretty quickly

Fab location,super clean,would stay again!

We loved the location as it was very convenient for Alton towers,the size of the house was perfect for what we needed

Both bedrooms were very bright in the morning due to no curtains on the windows only blinds,this also meant there was a draft coming from the windows. The sofas we only found sat 3 people comfortably so different,bigger & comfier sofas One more parking space would also have been fab as we had to risk not getting a fine due to having 2 cars (my fault I should’ve checked before booking)

Nice comfy beds, liked the selection of games, tidy and well kept throughout. Good communication from the owners. Nice and close to Alton towers

The oven wouldnt work.. the shower was hard to work so husband had a cold shower.. the towels were tiny The boards games were riduiculosly small. There was such a bad noise outside with traffic kept us awake most night..no where nice to eat all closed at 8pm

Great location to Alton Towers.

The property was an excellent location for Alton Towers. We stayed one night to break up long journey.

Property as not very clean, poor fittings, no pillow slips or duvet covers. Generally it was fair condition and I must state we only stayed one night.

A beautiful cottage in a great location and great value for money.

Beautiful property within a great location to Alton Towers. We booked 2 days at Alton Towers and staying at this property overnight, just 20mins from the park was great. The co--op was 2 mins walk away and I would highly recommend Hugge Cafe also within a 2min walk. The cottage was immaculate and very clean. Would highly recommend. The host was also very easy to communicate with prior to our arrival.

Good location but wouldn't stay again

The proximity to Alton Towers was excellent, and a good pub to eat at, just a short walk down the road.

The cleanliness was below expectations, for example, clumps of hair in the bathroom, dusty and there were cobwebs on the walls and ceilings. The rooms smelt of stale body odour. Kitchen cupboards were dirty inside. The toilet seat was nearly coming off and bedrooms need curtains or better blinds as rooms were flooded with light at 5am so we didn't sleep well. The pressure in the shower is very poor.

Beautiful cottage, great location as close to Alton towers, very clean. Kids loved the games, great there was shower gel, shampoo, coffee and auger. The little things made it enjoyable. Loved it.

A place to lay your head down.

Shower wouldn’t work. We tried a few times yet weren’t getting anywhere. I didn’t find the apartment very clean. Towel smelt really musty. Shampoo and conditioner provided was no better than a basic soap bar. Single glazed windows you can hear everything going out outside. Lots of things outdated and need replacing. We stay at places lots as times as a family and have always had a complementary basket with milk, bread and tea bags etc. these are always a nice touch to welcome guests. Just didn’t feel very welcoming.

Lovely little home perfect for us 2 adults 3 children Place was very clean and felt like home The kids loved the PS4!! Great communication from Host I would definitely recommend and stay again

The only thing that I would say is the outside traffic noise it's quiet loud ( high street) can't be helped And the pressure of the shower (I have thick Mediterranean hair) took me a while other than that I really enjoyed my stay

Great location for Alton Towers Resort and half a mile from a really good pub the Dog and Partridge. Lovely owners who we met on our departure. Co-op 200 metres away. Really easy to get into the cottage.

Some traffic noise at night but not a major issue. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

Heating system isn’t great, it was so cold when we got there and took a good few hours to heat up and after a wet and cold day in Alton Towers it made it a little difficult. Shower wouldn’t stay on hot so kind of gave up with that.

We LOVED staying here and would definitely return. My daughter actually said when she’s older she wants her first house

We absolutely loved staying here and were all gutted we didn’t book for more than one night. The property was spotless and just had a lovely homey feel to it. We would 100% stay here again and would book more than 1 night next time! There’s also a lovely wee roll shop just round the corner where we got breakfast rolls and a coop just along from there too so really a great location.

The only thing was the lack of pillows, one pillow per person on the bed but that’s really just personal preference and would just bring my own pillow along next time. The shower wasn’t overly powerful but again personal preference and it done the job regardless.

The property was in a great location for our Alton Towers trip, a co op just down the road which was very handy. Parking was good, communication from the host was great. The amenities were good and the beds were comfortable.

The shower was sadly quite poor and a bit tricky to figure out. The water pressure was low and it took quite a while to shower. The noise from the road was also quite loud (which I get can’t be helped but if you are a light sleeper it might not be great). There was also no bedding for the sofa bed, as it was me, my mum and 2 kids we needed that extra bed. Thankfully it was hot so no duvets needed but we did have to improvise.

Perfect Pit Stop for Alton Towers

This was a super place to stay on our way to Alton Towers. It had everything we needed, and a bit more! It was welcoming and clean and there were some lovely touches such as leaving us bottled water, biscuits and hot drinks. It was sparkling clean and very homely. I would have loved to have stayed longer, but we were only there for a very short time so didn't get to try out the shower or cooking facilities but all looked fine. The hosts were great and gave us really good directions and the lock box code to get the key, it was all very straightforward. Parking right outside. Perfect. I would definitely stay here again!
