If this site had 💯/💯 it would be that. I can not fault it ,the owners welcomed with a cup of tea as soon as arrived made me feel welcome as soon as I stepped in to the property which was lovely and warm Martin was amazing getting my bike battery from town as he was going there. The breakfast was spot on And evening meal the steak melted in your mouth gbreaded mushrooms and the fruit meringue, we stayed a extra day due to weather. And was deff worth the 2 nights I will be coming back again Great value for money Great Hosts Great Food Great Location lol And most of all a great night sleep 😴

Very welcoming, a warm room arriving at night and a big clean comfortable room. The hot, powerful shower great to unwind after a busy day. Lovely breakfast to start the day as well.

A shelter in the storm! On a recent backpacking trip through Ireland, I was caught in a heavy downpour and soaked through. I made a very last-minute booking to stay at the Melvin Country House, arrived late that evening, and received such a warm welcome that it made me glad for the rain!! A lovely, comfortable bedroom; kind and courteous hosts; delicious hearty breakfast made to order; even the tea and scones upon arrival were such a thoughtful touch. When I'm next in the area, this is first on my list. Highly recommend!
