A lovely stay

There is plenty of space for a large group, it’s spacious, in a beautiful location near a lake walk and it was a very pleasant stay. We stayed here while attending a wedding in Castle Leslie Estate and it was ideal for that

Lovely and big house with a lovely view

Geraldine was very accommodating to all our requests, thank you! The house was big and had a lovely view. It was also easy to find.

The heating was turned off at night so the house got very cold. I think it might be on automatic schedule. We only arrived at 1am from an event so we didn’t contact the owner about the heating as we didn’t want to wake them up so late at night. But would have been nice if we had some extra blankets.

Ideal base in Monaghan with clean house and great views

House was in a great location, about 15 mins from Monaghan and only a short drive to Castle Leslie where we attended a wedding. Rooms were spacious and bright with loads of natural light. Loads of parking too. House was well equipped with cooking facilities (pots / pans / tea / coffee / cleaning supplies) and loads of seating. Views out over the lake were stunning!

Some family members found mattresses a little soft but as we were only there 2 nights it was fine. Basics were supplied but for staying and cooking more than 2 nights you would be well off bringing extra toilet paper and a sharp knife for preparing food.

The property wasn’t as clean as I’d expected and that made it disappointing but the weather and views balanced that out
