The home that just keeps on giving!

The property itself was amazing. We comfortably slept 8 people (two couples and four singles) with enough bathrooms for for everyone. The elevator was an amazing bonus and great surprise. The Terraces were also a great addition. We were sorry we didn't book a few more nights there.

The neighborhood was a bit run down, which was also a surprise, which in the beginning was negative but later became a positive, adding to the authenticity of the experience. It was still a sorry walk away from all major attractions. Loved it!!!

Unsafe neighborhood, robbed the first night.

It looks incredibly chic and well appointed in the listing & website. The reality is an aged property that has had surface level improvements while walls, doors & floors have water damage. Slashed window screens, broken metal security shutters, interior doors that won’t close, broken sharp tiles on shower floor. The house none of the basic appointments most rental properties have, ex: basic spices, bathroom toiletries, etc.

The property check-in manager spent less than 5 mins with our group. She yelled the gate & keybox codes to our group of 4 women as others walked by the house, did not demonstrate any safety measures or go over the alarm. Had she done this, we would’ve know that the alarm system was disabled, no power, no phone in the house. We were awaken at 5am to the door being forced open and thieves grabbing purses, wallets & other items before running out the doors & gates they had access to open. Frantic calls to our property contact & ‘owner’ (property mgt co) went unanswered for over 5 hrs. The police knew exactly the property we were at and took an hour to arrive. We were dropped off at a substation where the officers refused to even write a report - saying anything under 10k is petty theft. The police said they would only file a report if the property owner agreed (which they did not). The local business owners told us the area is only recently going thru a gentrification but still has drug dealers and criminals casing the neighborhood. The property owner said that the house had never been broken into in the 7 years they handled it - restaurant owners, shop keepers and police disagreed. Our ‘compensation’ from the property mgt co was a free shuttle back to the airport.

Penny met us and showed us around. She contacted us via WhatsApp to make sure we had everything we needed. The house itself was fantastic and an excellent base for the trip.

Disappointing

Plenty of space for 6 women. The host was great and help us out with things to do.

The house needs a definite hard core cleaning session. The master shower had mold that had been there for quite some time. The house smelled, the floors were dirty, and the area was loud with graffiti everywhere.

Superb

Alexandra was on hand at the property to hand over the keys and despite messing her around with some changes to our flights, she was very accommodating with all the late changes we had. Tonnes of space in this villa and in a really central location!

Everything about the villa was as we had hoped. There is one bedroom down in the lower level that was perfectly fine, but didn't have an AC unit, just a small fan. It was about 40C in Athens that week so it got pretty warm down there.

Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden.

Lage und Größe. Die Küche ist im großen und ganzen mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht.

Wie bei vielen anderen auch schon angeklungen. Der Raum im Keller ist kein adäquater Schlafplatz. Insgesamt benötigt die Unterkunft einige Schönheitsreparaturen und muss auch einmal einer Grundreinigung unterzogen werden. Am besten zweimal im Jahr.
