Perfect Stay

Set in peaceful location around 1 mile from village centre. Morgans Rest has everything you need for any length of stay. It is a real home from home and made for a lovely peaceful few days. We booked very short notice but had a very nice welcome pack supplied, this helped us settle right in. We would definitely recommend to anyone and would happily stay again, if back in the area.

Clean, light and airy...everything we needed for a long weekend birthday break. Washing machine !!! Comfortable and a real home from home. Hosts very kindly put up birthday bunting before we arrived to welcome us in.

A haven of peace and tranquility, luxurious and well-appointed in beautiful surroundings -

Morgan’s Rest is a beautifully decorated, tranquil oasis situated in the wonderful North Yorkshire countryside. It’s a wonderful place to decompress after a long day at work or after a day out walking/sightseeing!

Morgans Rest is a hidden treasure!

I am not surprised by the amount of positive reviews for this cottage. It is well thought out and you can tell the hosts have done everything they can to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back! The daily visits from Sooty the cat made it ever better.

Christmas & new year break

Lovely cottage immaculately clean the owners left a little welcome pack of prosseco cake, bread jam biscuits and milk which was a lovely touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Would love to visit again in the summer.

Fantastic comfortable cottage

Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location. The owner goes the extra mile and provides lots of extras which was a lovely surprise. The private outside space is very pleasant and my son loved the chickens roaming around. Situated near lots of local attractions and 30mins from the coast. I cannot fault it in any way. Just a shame we had to leave!

Superb

The cottage is very spacious and equipped with everything you might need. Everything was extremely clean, check in was straightforward and the hosts were very friendly. Receiving a few treats such as a bottle of Prosecco on arrival made our stay even more special. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to base yourself when exploring the moors.

Bath towels could be slightly bigger.

Christmas at Morgan's Rest.

A well designed and comfortable property with a lovely festive feel. Karen and Dave were very hospitable and readily available to deal with queries. We appreciated the generous welcome pack and the extra touches such as the robes and slippers. The views of colourful skies at sunrise and sunset were stunning and it was delightful to see so much wildlife as we drove up and down the lane.

We fell in love with Morgans Rest 💗

Everything 😊 the property was furnished and cleaned to a high standard. Set in peaceful surroundings. Attention to detail & everything we could possibly need. Little extras made us feel so welcome. Loved the farm cats that visited us. Just beautiful. We fell in love with it and will definitely be back. The owner Karen very friendly and thought of everthing to make our stay absolutely perfect 👌
