The Alley City Hotel

It was close to the ocean! The rooms are super dark, so when I awoke it felt like it was still the middle of the night 😅 even though there were busy roads around , I didn’t hear much.

There was a little bit of an odd smell in the room, it was unique and I couldn’t pin point if it was the air fresher , or something the air fresher was covering up. It’s not too bad, subtle, but I happened to notice it .

Price, price, price. This was actually SO good for the price. Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious enough, air conditioning, convenient location. We had doubts about such a cheap hotel but we were very pleasantly surprised by the presentation and comfort. We were also able to drop our bags off early on check in which was a huge convenience.

A little sewerage smell in the bathroom (which is not uncommon in Bali, even in much more expensive hotels/resorts). No window in the room but this is not really an issue if you're planning to be out a lot. The positive of not having a window was that there wasn't any noise from outside for sleeping and it made it quick and easy to get the room very cool with the AC. That's exactly what you need after a day outside in the hot Bali sun. All the negatives were very minor nitpicky ones, especially when you consider the price.

Location was good for Short stay near from Sanur Harbour, room size little small , overall good for 1 or 2 night.

Electric sockets only 1 which was not enough to charge devices.

- I like that they had free breakfast packed included (wish it wa less psicy though) - Big bed - The painting on the wall in the room - Staff are nice

- The fungus smell in the room is unbearable - They need more power outlets - Impossible to open the water cup (like the ones from airplanes) they provide. I gave up to open. - Wifi was weak - Bathroom area didn't look super clean - Its soundproof is not at the best but luckily I was already awake early before people became loud in the common area
