Wawan and his team at On the Rocks were so accommodating throughout my stay. They sorted airport transfers and met any needs I had, such as laundry and booking activities. The stairs up to On the Rocks aren’t for the faint of heart but the trek up is so worth it once there. It backs on to the jungle, has a pool, air-conditioned rooms, beautifully well-kept grounds and a lovely restaurant. I enjoyed watching the monkeys in the trees that surrounded the property. The overnight trek was amazing! The food was great, our guides and camp cook were awesome and the camp site was situated in the best place on its own and away from the hustle and bustle of the other camps with a stream and waterfall right next to it (it also had a seated toilet). We had Orangutans visit us at the camp, along with different monkey species and saw hornbills fly over us. The rafting back was so much fun the next day. Wawan also organised the trip to Tangkahan for me to bath and trek with the elephants which was also an amazing experience.

There wasn’t really anything not to like. There’s just luxuries that you forgo because you stay at the top of the hill in the jungle.

Het was veel mooier dan ik naar aanleiding van de foto's had verwacht. De kamers waren sfeervol. De locatie is werkelijk prachtig zo vlak aan de rand van de jungle. Het eten was heerlijk en het personeel was heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Uiteraard was het fantastisch om Orang Oetans te zien. Er komen was een hele belevenis. Op een gegeven moment kan de auto niet verder. Maar daar wordt je bij geholpen en daardoor ben je wel meteen aan de rand van de jungle.

Helemaal niets.

La ubicación es muy buena porque estás muy entrada a la selva y estás rodeado de naturaleza. Ves monos por todos lados pero no son intrusivos y no molestan a los huéspedes. Además, las instalaciones son muy bonitas y muy bien cuidadas. El personal es súper amable. Ellos organizaron nuestros traslados y trekking en al selva que disfrutamos mucho.

They don’t have HOT WATER !! They will offer to boiling and they will bring to your room and they at the end will charge for boiling water !! And to get to the hotel you will need walk around 25 min up to to mountain with your luggage Only one person will come to help you ! Make sure you will stay exactly at the same room like you booked at the booking com !
