Lovely cottage

The cottage was just so lovely, log burner, well equipped kitchen, grounds to walk round

Layout and facilities generally good. Location also good.

Hot water tap on bathroom wash basin was temperamental. Carpets/mats on wood floors in main bedroom were very slippy. Had to remove them for safety purposes.

Excellent property, well equipped within beautiful grounds, handy to high street and for exploring .

Perfect location as visiting family nearby, quiet residential area , shops restaurants cafes nearby. Lovely well equipped property highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Firlands and hope to return again soon!

We loved everything about this place…it was cozy, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The washer and dryer was an added bonus for our 3 week stay. Michelle, the owner, is super nice and very attentive . The cottage looks like something out of a fairytale but with all the modern conveniences

Overall I would highly recommend Firlands lodge, it is beautiful and has everything you could need.

Beautiful lodge, in a beautiful setting. The lodge is so well decorated and very homely. Michelle was so welcoming and provided cot, bedding, baby bath and highchair for our 8 month old. There was a swing ball set and trampoline in the private garden for our older son. We were also allowed access to the main grounds which had rope swings, a small climbing frame and a huge trampoline. It really is perfect for families or just for a couple on their own, it really caters for everyone.

The bedrooms were very bright as there were only blinds, no curtains so if you are travelling with a young family I would suggest taking a travel blackout blind. We found the shower door was broken and wouldn’t close properly so hard to have a shower without soaking the bathroom. We also found 7 wasps crawling around the livingroom area over the duration of the weekend so potentially a wasps nest nearby.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

The location of the lodge is great for travelling around. The lodge is so comfortable and had everything you would need to make your stay just like home. The garden was lovely. Met our host Michelle who was friendly and very helpful. Would most definitely stay again.

A lovely cottage with character on the edge of Forres within beautiful grounds

Firlands Lodge enjoys a very attractive location being set within the grounds of the "big house" with its extensive very well kept grounds with a wealth of trees and shrubs. The cottage itself is attractive and quaint whilst having a modern kitchen and shower room. The 2 bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We also appreciated the pleasing situation of the gardens around the cottage with the outdoors seating areas and space to enjoy the area.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay set in lovely surroundings.

I liked all the little extra bits and pieces fresh flowers also a drawer full of extras in the bathroom ie new toothbrushes if you had forgotten anything like that it was there.

An extra chair in the living room would have been good but not a problem.
