The staff were wonderful, always making us feel very welcome and super accommodating. The morning breakfast was great and served your room! The rooms very clean and gardens well maintained.

This boutique hotel was exceptional in location, comfort, and service. Off a busy main road, it is a quiet oasis of calm; just perfect for relaxation. The path to the hotel is approximately 150 metres, and there are a series of steps if you are staying in rooms nearer the pool. With their old Bali charm, the rooms are lovely and spacious. The pool is small but adequate. Breakfasts were excellent with a good choice, and afternoon tea is included each day, should you wish it.
There was a mini-bar, but it was empty. Travellers should know that although there is a "mini-bar" listed in the room description, the hotel does not place any items, for purchase or inclusion in the room rate, in it.

Staff is really nice. Breakfast is good. Little garden I had in the room was super nice.
I dont understand why it has an exceptional score - it is old and needs refurbishing. All the towels were dirty, the bedsheets as well had some stains. The airconditioning only has on and off, I couldn’t ajdust it. The room smells. You can’t blind the room, there is too much light - also you can’t fully close the door..
On booking it says it has spa and wellness - it doesn’t, it’s in a sister hotel 20min away..

The staff at Kebun Indah were very helpful and kind. A big thank you to all especially the beautiful and kind women who looked after us. Thank you.
Chlorine in pool was added and no sign to say wait before using pool

Excellent location, walking distance to a lot of places in Ubud. Kind and helpful staff. Excellent cleanliness. Comfortable beds.
Personally didn’t like that there is no common area or a restaurant where one can have a coffee or breakfast. They do however offer breakfast at your balcony or by the pool and complimentary coffee and tea all day long. Pool is quite small and was at one end of the property so felt like it was more for the people staying next to it, so I didn’t end up using it.

Very convent to the restaurants and shops of Ubud but tucked away and exceptionally peaceful and quiet. Staff were outstanding and went out of their way to help me. Afternoon tea and breakfast were delicious. I also used the spa service at the sister property Alam Shanti which was outstanding.
There was nothing I disliked about the property. However there are many stairs so accessibility may be an issue for some people. You can request a ground floor room though.

The location was superb, exactly what we were looking for. Very close to the center, the monkey forest, etc. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good.
They could have more light on the entrance pathway, but that’s just a detail.

I’ve visites this piece of heaven 2 times now and I will probably come back again. The staff is so friendly! I really feel like coming home. The garden and pool al great, the silence lovely, considering it’s central location and the breakfast is yummy!
Nothing at all!

Lovely property that only has I think 7 rooms, we had the room at the bottom by the pool, huge patio area to look out on and have your breakfast that was delivered each day which was nice.
Room was lovely and big bathroom.
We were away from the noise of Ubud as a long path leading down to the property, yet we could walk straight into the hussle and bustle which was ideal.
Loads of massage places nearby that were very cheap that we took advantage of.
I was surprised how many restaurants were empty , however I think it was the end of the season.
Monkey forest was not far and lots of nice restaurants around us.
Quite a lot of high steps to reach to the bottom on the villa, so just be prepared if you are not very mobile, however it is very private.
also no safe in room.

We really loved staying here. The traditional style villa was lovely, with lots of beautiful crafted features. We especially liked our breakfasts (delicious) - which were brought by the staff - on the veranda, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff were lovely, so helpful, welcoming and friendly.
The location is great - you can walk to the Sacred Monkey Forest in a few minutes. Everywhere else required a taxi. The downside was how congested the roads were, which meant spending a huge amount of time stuck in traffic. But around the hotel is a really interesting area with lots of shops and restaurants.
We'd definitely come back here if returning to Bali.
I was hesitant about the open-air nature of the bathroom (my husband was ok with it), though the walls are very high. Felt a bit exposed while showering as there are other buildings nearby (though none of their windows faced the bathroom). But really, you can't be seen - it's just not what I'm used to, and I was getting more used to it by the second day.

Away from street, no noise.
Nice balcony.
They had water in a big bottle. Got sick wonder if it was ok to drink! They said it was!

The meander down the tidy path to arrive.
Warm welcome, lovely room and huge bathroom.
Excellent pool almost amongst the green.
Afternoon tea provided, a nice touch.
Kindly stored our suitcase for the day.
Best to order breakfast the night before if want it there.
Plenty of alternatives close by.

As usual, from the greeting upon arrival to the assistance upon leaving, the Kebun Indah staff excel in their hospitality, friendliness and efficiency. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay in this tranquil haven, that still remains so, despite a now very developed Ubud that surrounds it. It's a great place to be based as you can easily walk anywhere and don't have to be in the never-ending traffic, the breakfasts are excellent and served on your terrace or balcony, the pool offers a welcoming dip, the complimentary afternoon tea is always yummy and staff friendly and informative. They still have the little shrines outside each room that are refilled and blessed each day and mosquito coils lit outside your door before sunset. The list of positives could go on ... Love this place.

I loved the gardens with the many Buddhist statues and ponds and the spiritual feeling it brought. The location is perfect at the centre of Ubud yet very peaceful. I went every day to Lumeria for yoga and sound healing. It’s an easy walk from the hotel via the main road. Staff are fantastic in this hotel.
Ubud traffic is very congested. That said as long as you hang out in the hotel and the bars and restaurants around it as well as the yoga centres and spas it is not a problem.

Great location in the heart of Ubud, lovely staff and great breakfast.
The bathroom was very rustic and had green mould on the stone walls which made the room smell of damp.

We stayed 4 nights at Kebun Indah in June. We chose it because we like small boutique style accommodation with special character. We chose the Cepaka pool view room which was spacious and loaded with traditional charm. The bed was the comfiest we had on our whole trip. Oddly, there was no safe in the room, which is a pretty standard fixture of any hotel room today. There was also no tea & coffee making facilities, but our hosts happily provided a kettle and cups for that morning cuppa. We chose not to have breakfast included, because there are so many great eating options nearby. Kebun Indah is 130 metres from the road so it’s nice and quiet, and we didn’t even see any other guests during our stay, which some people would love, but personally I found it a little too quiet and too isolated. All in all, a lovely traditional property with nice staff who provide good service.
A little too isolated and quiet. No safe, tea making facilities or TV in the room.

This hotel has a unique charm and essence, making you feel like you’re right in the middle of the jungle. It’s a place with history, so the property has its years, but it’s very well maintained. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. You do need to walk a few minutes from the main road to reach the hotel, which might be a bit inconvenient if you’re carrying large suitcases (we had backpacks, so it was fine). Our room was next to the pool, which also meant going up and down stairs — not an issue for us, but something to keep in mind. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.
The pathway to get to the hotel it’s quite dark at night

This was the most incredible stay. It felt so authentic and personal, the food was amazing, the pool was clean and refreshing and the rooms were comfortable and clean too. The staff were so friendly and generous, they were so helpful organising day trips, drivers and transfers. This meant you could properly switch off- miss it already.

The location was great, a short walk from restaurants/bars, but a perfect distance from the main road that you felt quiet and peaceful.

An oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Beautiful gardens and setting. Exceptional genuine service with happy staff. Loved having breakfast and afternoon tea on our terrace. Close to great restaurants and bars. Loved the workshops too

Breakfast perfect, hotel staff perfect, location perfect! One of the best hotels I‘ve ever been in more than 50 different countries. Molly, Jos and Robby (nickname Robot) and all members of the staff were always extraordinarily friendly and helpful and make my stay more than comfortable. I plan to come back to the hotel a second time together with my family!

Oasis in the middle of a crazy busy city.
The swimming pool did not look so attractive. At arrival late in the night I had to walk 150 mtr trough a small pathway with my heavy suitcase. A lot of stairs to arrive in the room.

Beautiful room and location. Just set off from the main road, providing quiet evenings. Plenty of options for breakfast that's served to your room at your preferred time. The pool and gardens were beautiful.
The service was brilliant.

Beautiful accommodation with refreshing pool and good breakfast. Everything you need is within 5 minutes walking distance (restaurants, scooter rental, massage...).

Centrally located, yet quiet and set back from the main road. Beautiful gardens and rooms. A lovely pool area. Welcoming, wonderfully helpful staff. Lovely in room breakfast service.
Water pressure in the shower was average, and pulsed, obviously being pumped up hill. Not a major complaint at all, but worth noting.

Traditional style which felt very homely and welcoming. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Tucked away from busy main road, its tranquility is a welcome relief after a busy day. Loved the outside bathroom as well - what a treat! Breakfast delivered to our own balcony each morning was lovely too.
Nothing!

Close to yoga barn. Staff were friendly. They have mosquito incense.
It was the poorest hygiene condition I have seen in Bali hotels, and not cheap at all. I wouldn’t take a bath there, it looks dirty. Towel and bedding was not white color, it was grey color from being to old and dirty.

We have visited Bali multiple times over the years and Kebun Indah is by far one of our favourite places to stay.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the scenery and gardens are just divine. You would not know you were in the hustle and bustle of central Ubud.
The Padma room is a favourite with the most remarkable views of jungle and rice fields from your private balcony.
Nothing at all - cannot wait to stay again!

Beautiful nice Balinese style hotel with super friendly and helpful stuff. We had the big apartment in the first house with own Terrasse. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is great and you get it to your balcony. Cute small pool inside the palm trees, very beautiful. I felt a bit sick and they made me a rice porridge, so lovely! We had a unforgettable day tour with guide Rah, it was amazing and we had a lot of fun. You should book a tour with him :)
Glasses in the room could be changed everyday. Pool was not very clean, a bit green and with leafs. I can understand with the trees it is difficult but a few times a day somebody could check the pool.

Such a wonderful place to stay in Ubud, a walking distance from everything ( and all my favorites healthy café 😀) the location is definitely a A++++, breakfast is fantastic- and served on your private patio. Lovely pool with tropical garden, the room are spacious and well air conditioned. We loved our outdoor bathroom 💓

Everything! The spaciousness of the room, the outdoor shower, the gorgeous balcony overlooking Ubud's tranquil greenery and most of all - the people. Kebun Indah's staff were all exceptional during my stay. Special mention to Roy, Robert and the beautiful ladies who work in the kitchen. They made delicious, healthy breakfasts each morning and truly made my stay. Can't wait to be back.
My only slight complaint is that the AC in my room wasn't the best. I prefer a cold room to sleep in and it just felt like the AC never quite got there.
