It’s a good place stay for a night, e.g. before your cruise starts.

It has functional kitchen if you plan to cook. Free coffee, tea, clean water. Each bedroom has its own T&B. Each room has security lock. Rooms are spacious even for 3 or 4 pax.

There is no lift / elevator.

Venue acceptable and close to cruise port but would never recommend using it because of poor communication with host.

Close to cruise shuttle and renovated bathroom in junior suite

Communication with off-property host was awful. Slow to respond or answer inquiries leading up to trip. Last minute email requirements to “check-in” and pay city tax when posted on all sites that it would be paid on the property. Held access codes to enter lodging until all done which had to be completed multiple times. This was all done at the very last minute when on international travel flights without internet or cellular service. Never received name or description of shuttle driver or vehicle or pick-up location arranged for through host. We found him at the last minute. Very stressful!!

A workout on the stairs with suitcases!!

Big room, good a/c, coffee, location

Poor setup to get into your room. A lot of stairs!! Waited outside on the street for 2 hours trying to reach someone to let us in our room. The telephone number posted outside isn't the right one. Other people staying there finally connected us with owner for passcode.

Okay for one night.

Once you get all your luggage to the 3rd floor and open the place door, the place looks nice. However the building can be very scary, especially the first floor with a broken door that connects to some back area. It is close to the cruise shuttle if your cruising.

Unfortunately, the place was not ready at the set up time. We stayed waiting for cleaning outside the door since we didn’t have a place to go which made me concerned that the lady was not doing a good job by trying to get it done. Then I had a terrible allergy episode due to all the cleaning smells. Bad experience

The location was perfect for us: less than 5 min walk to the shuttle bus which took us to the port, downstairs minimarket, coffee shop and city center also 10 min walk from the building. Facilities were great, everything that that u might need was there.

A comfortable overnight stay to allow us getting in time for the Med cruise

A spacious and clean apartment so ver near the cruise port, which suits our need to catch the cruise next day.

Online check-in process isn't simple enough. It is as complicated as buying an airline ticket via App, needing you to take selfie and a picture of your passport. Too long winded! This is due to our flight as we arrived late in the evening and so we had to do online check-in.

There was nothing not to like about this property. Room was brilliant, quiet, roomy, big bathroom. A pleasure to stay here. Communication with host was seem less. We had issue getting into room but quickly resolved.

Convenient location to catch your cruise

If you were going on a cruise, this is a great location. It is about a 5 to 7 minute walk to the port shuttle. It’s about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the train station. There is no elevator and if you are traveling with your luggage, it is a hike to get up those stairs. It’s on the third floor.

It was a little misleading in the description. It’s not really apartment. It’s more like a room within an apartment. There is a shared space that has a kitchen table and a refrigerator

Close to the cruise port and within a 15 minute walk from the train station. Room and bathroom were spacious and it had a common area with a kitchen.

No elevator to get your luggage up quite a bit of stairs, so if you have issues with hauling luggage I would suggest another option.

There was no breakfast. Space was very large. And clean.

Sooo many steps. Host carried the luggage up, but an 80 year old man (me) carried it down. Not an easy task. A great facility otherwise. Could use an elevator, but it will never happen in that building.

Exceptional

This guesthouse is a hidden gem in Civitavecchia! It is located across from the cruise port and a block away from the free cruise boat shuttle. It is close to everything and a short 10 minute walk to the train station. The property has been recently renovated and is a beautiful, warm and welcoming space (just note you have to walk up a few flights of stairs as there is no elevator). The space has 4 rooms available to book with a shared kitchen/dining/living space. The refrigerator is stocked with refillable cold glass water bottles which came in handy during our stay. Each room is quite and relaxing. Peter was our host when we arrived. He helped book our taxi from the airport, greeted us at the front door, helped carry our bags up the stairs and shared his recommendations for pizza, seafood and gelato! We immediately went for the gelato and it did not disappoint. If we didn't have such an early flight out of FCO, I wish I could have stayed at here after our cruise. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lack of Staff was Disappointing

Nice room that was clean. The property was well maintained.

I was surprised there was no staff. I had canceled a different property and booked here because reviews were positive on the staff assistance. There was none. All arrangements were done through the computer, and when writing about arrival times, I was totally ignored. The rooms were on the third floor (2nd in Europe) which was a climb for me with luggage). There was no indication in my instructions which room we would be occupying, so I was fortunate to arrive early and locate a housekeeper who called someone to find out. Call me old-fashioned but I like a contact at the hotel. There was also no breakfast, which I find usually offered in a "guest house."

No breakfast this year. New ownership and less personal. Rooms clean and tidy, shower and toilet clean. Excellent location for cruise port.

Security didn't feel great. We had rooms two and three with access codes of 2222 and 3333. Think I could have worked out the others !

Very old and I though what have I booked, however very modern room and fantastic bathroom and shower.

Close to port as I wanted.

Had to climb 52 stair’s With luggage. Peter did help us bring the luggage upstairs. Very thankful for Peter to help us. Said shuttle bus provided, however you had to walk down the street about 600 metres or so with luggage to then join the terminal.
