Overnight stay near cape reinga

Great place to stay near to cape Reinga. Nothing fancy but perfect for what we needed, and good value for money. Irene was welcoming and responsive. We only used the kitchen to make a cup of tea but it seemed well equipped.

Overall, it was good experience but fan or something like mosquito net could have made it excellent!

The host was very friendly and liked the location. Good bed and good basic facilities. Can't expect more than this at this rate.

In NZ Summertime (the time when we traveled), we expected a fan especially when the booking website said there was a fan available but on inquiring a response was received that the fan was not available Also, the mosquitos! That was the main concern for us because we had a 7-year-old kid with us. One of the reasons for the fan was mosquitos (I do understand it is a farm so mosquitos are obvious but was expecting something to deteriorate)

Clean and safe.

The lady running the place was very friendly. It is the closest accommodation (I think) to Cape Reinga. We drove out to watch the sunset. Highly recommended! Our room was very clean.

The kitchen was in a bit of disrepair. We had planned to cook our dinner but gave up frustrated part way through.

Pleasant and gorgeous, Thankyou!!!

I felt very welcomed and was shown where everything was, outstanding customer service! I didn’t get the best weather- winter eh- but I still felt the charm and there was plenty to keep me warm indoors after my adventures.

Wifi would’ve been handy, but it’s what comes with being in the country so I wasn’t too bothered :)

Great place to stay after visiting the Cape

Lovely staff, big kitchen and dinning area. We got stuck in a storm while here so there wasn't any power to use unfortunately but the water in the showers was hot and beds were decently comfortable.

The single bed kept rolling away from the wall I eventually pushed my suitcase against it to stop it
