About this house rental

Nestled at the base of the mountain in Ahipara, Te Hū enjoys a beachfront position sheltered from prevailing winds, with uninterrupted views across Ahipara Bay. To the left, take in Shipwreck Bay and Tauroa Point, often lit by fiery orange sunsets. To the right, follow the curve of Ninety Mile Beach all the way to Cape Reinga on a clear day.

Watch the waves roll in or the tides turn from wild swells to calm blue waters—all from the comfort of your elevated deck. Inside, the open-plan living area flows effortlessly outdoors through sliding doors, framing the endless Pacific horizon—perfect for long, laid-back afternoons with family and friends.

This compact coastal haven sleeps up to five guests across one spacious bedroom, a cosy single room, and a separate sleepout with a queen bed, accessed externally. Simple and homely, Te Hū offers everything you need for a comfortable stay: a ceramic cooktop, air fryer, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer).

Heating and cooling are provided via a panel heater in the lounge, a fan heater in the sleepout, and two permanently fixed ceiling fans in the bedrooms.

The driveway provides easy parking for up to three standard-sized vehicles, and the bach is just moments from the beach—an ideal base for surf, sand, and exploring the stunning Far North.

Te Hū invites you to slow down, reconnect, and make lasting memories at a place steeped in history and heart.
