Perfect stay
Excellent accommodation in a perfect location, right on the main pedestrian street with lots of places around. The garage parking is a big plus. I really liked the city view, and inside everything was clean and comfortable. Great kitchen, the place really impressed me.

Location was a bit further from the sea than advertised (5 min walk from advertised spot) - they have multiple apartments. The room was also not the advertised 40m2, but more like 20m2. Both were reasons for me to take this apartment, and i wished i was told upfront. Was still a good stay, thank you.

Well equipped apartment a short walk from Ohrid centre.
We had a comfortable stay at the apartment and did not feel too far from the centre of Ohrid. There was a full kitchen, washing machine and space to dry clothes which was useful.
The location was not where it appears on the map when you book this apartment, it is actually further from the centre of town than it shows.
The apartment was not the cleanest, with some mould in the bathroom as if it had not been scrubbed properly in a while. But we managed and it was still a fine place to stay.
I think there are better properties for a similar price.

Beautiful apartment and very helpful host. I was able to do my washing and hang it out on the balcony which was great for my trip. I loved having the big TV on the wall at the end of the bed.

We had a truly wonderful stay! Aleksandar and Izabela are exceptional hosts – incredibly kind, always available, and genuinely attentive to every detail. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and cared for. The location of the apartment is perfect, close to everything you might need, yet peaceful and comfortable. The apartment itself is spotless, very spacious, and equipped with much more than you could possibly expect – everything was thoughtfully provided to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We would be happy to come back anytime and can warmly recommend this place to everyone

I don’t think there are enough beautiful words to describe Izabela and our stay in this accommodation.
I was amazed by how she thought of absolutely every little detail – from disposable slippers, to clothespins, to kitchenware. She was always available to us and willing to help with anything we needed.
The apartment itself is in a fantastic location – just one minute from the promenade, yet in such a peaceful area, perfect for rest and a good night’s sleep. It has absolutely everything you might need for a pleasant stay. The garage is located within the same building as the apartment.
A big thank you to Izabela for making our summer holiday even more beautiful!

Just after we crossed the border near the monastery, we received a message from the owner via Bookings.com stating that it would be difficult for him to receive us on location because he was out of town. Via WhatsApp, he sent several instructional videos to clearly explain how we could obtain the key and lift-drop from the lock box and where/how we could park in the associated parking garage. This worked very well.
Using the elevator from the parking garage, we reached the apartment on the sixth floor.
The accommodation consisted of a spacious living room with an open kitchen, a small bedroom, and a decent bathroom with a shower and toilet.
The rather small balcony overlooked the city center with Lake Ohrid still just visible to the left.
The location was excellent. It was only a few hundred meters walk to the center.
The next day, we left 40 euros behind and placed the key back in the lock box.
Once in the city, finding a parking spot proved to be a challenge. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there was no parking space available (on a Saturday). Further away, everything was paid parking, without clear information on how and where to pay, and we did not yet have local currency. We saw that there was enforcement. Eventually, we parked somewhere, retrieved the key from the lock box, and then discovered the entrance to the parking garage. After that, we picked up the car, without getting a fine.
Upon departure, there was a running race taking place, which meant all roads around the apartment were closed. Fortunately, after waiting for 10 minutes, the security guards allowed us to drive under the tape.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Misleading Information and Threatening Host!
Despite the threat to kill me from the owner of the apartment, I remained alive.
My experience at Ohrid Boutique Apartments was extremely negative and frankly, frightening. I booked an apartment at Partizanska str.No.1, as advertised on Booking.com. However, shortly after booking, the hosts, Aleksandar and Izabela, contacted me to say the apartment was actually at Dame Gruev 34. This was already a significant inconvenience.
Upon arrival at the new address, the apartment was much smaller than the 40 square meters advertised – I estimate it to be around 14 square meters. Furthermore, a washing machine, which was listed as an amenity, was nowhere to be found. When I inquired about it, the host claimed it had just broken down and been taken away. This explanation seemed highly unlikely given the very small size of the apartment, which clearly couldn't have accommodated a washing machine with the necessary connections. I believe this was a deliberate misrepresentation.
When I politely informed the host that I felt this was misleading and that I would need to contact Booking.com to find alternative accommodation with a washing machine, the situation escalated dramatically. I received a phone call, presumably from Aleksandar, who became extremely aggressive. He yelled insults at me, including calling me a "motherfucker," and chillingly threatened to throw me off the balcony. I genuinely feared for my safety and had to leave the apartment immediately to find other lodging.
To make matters worse, after I left, I saw that the hosts marked my booking as a "no-show." This is a dishonest tactic to avoid negative reviews. I was definitely there and have photos and correspondence to prove it.
I strongly advise anyone considering staying at Ohrid Boutique Apartments to be extremely cautious. My experience involved misleading information, a significantly smaller and less equipped apartment than advertised, and threatening behavior from the host. This was a truly awful and unsafe experience that I would not wish on anyone.

Great location in the middle of the town with a view of Lake Ohrid. Izabela was the perfect host, easily contactable during our stay. Entering the apartment and handing over keys at the end of the stay was mutually agreed. I would highly recommend this accommodation for a stay in Ohrid. Private parking was a bonus as on street parking is chargeable.

This apartment is great. People who are renting it were very kind, showed us apartment and gave us keys. Very good people. The apartment was very clean, we had clean sheets, towels, everything.
