If you don’t mind sharing a bathroom, a great choice.

Amazing property, and huge rooms. Good location to walk in to town, and very quiet.

Although it said “Private bathroom, it was in fact a bathroom shared between two rooms. That said, the bathroom was fantastic- but for practical purposes during the night it didn’t really suit my requirements.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. We were able to park our motor cycles inside the premises so that they were safe. Very nicely renovated old building with all comfort. Good tips for going out in the evening. Lovely breakfast with self-made ingredients. Clear house rules.

Incredible farm stay with hospitable hosts

The property was so beautiful and homely. Fabienne and her husband are incredible hosts. The breakfast was delicious and home cooked and I was given a tour of the gardens (even asked to taste the tomatoes in the green house). Would reccomend to all.

Nice and cozy yet bedrooms could be better isolated

Very nice and cozy villa and very charming and friendly host, the breakfast was very good. The city is not that large, so everything is basically within walking distance.

It is a bit a pity that the villa is located next to a busy road. Yet that would not form a big problem if only the acoustic isolation from the window in the room was adequate. I also miss curtains that make the room darker, now a lot of light is entering the room even when the curtains are fully closed.

Beautiful stay in a fascinating house

We stayed overnight on our way back to the UK and were only looking for a quick stopover but Villa Marguerite is a delightful place and we could happily have stayed longer. The house and its history are fascinating and the decoration is beautiful. We were offered tea in the garden and had a super breakfast before an early start. Our hostess could not have been more helpful.

Lovely room but up 3 flights of stairs. Bathroom very good

Asked to remove shoes on entering the property which I hate. And then given a pair of crocs which were too big for me. Stairs are very dangerous as they are polished wood and very slippery without shoes on so much that I fell coming down and seriously injured myself.

Fabienne made us very welcome after a long drive from the north of England.

A lovely house beautifully decorated with parking right outside. Perfect location if you want a stopover near to Calais.

The stairs are tricky particularly with cases/ bags. Definitely have a small overnight bag if you are on a stopover

A comfortable stay in a lovely house.

The house is a lovingly restored Belle Epoque villa on the edge of Saint Omer backing onto the Marais with a very attractive garden complete with pond, ducks and a very friendly dog. There is ample on-street parking and a not too long walk to the centre of town. Breakfast was excellent including French toast and a fruit compote. We have hurried past the sign for Saint-Omer whilst heading south many times but I'm glad we made the effort to stop there. The area and the villa are well worth a break on the journey

Absolutely beautiful-chic interior, whilst retaining the history of the building; the owners were welcoming and friendly (and supported us with our poor grasp of the beautiful French language); the room was beautiful - freshly laundered pure linen sheets and a bathroom to die for; breakfast was delicious and taken in the most gorgeous room overlooking the stunning garden - cannot praise this place enough - simply unforgettable 😊

We arrived expecting Secure parking, parking was on the street. Because of the experiences in France, we Think it is important to have Secure parking. Foreign cars of vulnerable!! Room on Second floor, very steep stairs, not good for those with mobility problems.

I have a sensitive sense of smell and found the laundry smell of the linen rather overpowering. I would recommend the use of a non smelling laundry cleaner.

A beautiful house, very nicely decorated, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Bedroom and bathroom large and comfortable. Parking free directly outside house. Mattress comfortable. Host was very kind offering a coffee when we arrived and the breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Everything superb.

you need to be very careful going up the stairs . Did not like having to put slippers to go upstairs ( my espadrilles would not have made noise or damage to wooden floors). I would have like a bedside table on both sides of bed .I would like a key to bedroom .
