Location suited me perfectly for getting to the channel tunnel early in the morning. Easy access from the motorway.Very quiet. Breakfast good especially the French toast. An absolute delight was the garden which must have covered a couple of hectares and it was a real privilege to be shown round by Franck who is clealy very proud of what he has done there. Not a granf formal garden but one that concentrates on produce, along with chickens and ducks. A very peaceful haven.
The bed mattress could have been firmer for my liking, but perfectly comfortable

It was a bit odd having to put indoor shoes on . The hosts were great and the garden lovely. The black out curtains were great. In spite of having alterations carried out it was no bother for us.
The lighting in the room . We didn’t realise we could use the lounge.

Incredibly helpful owners spoke French and when I couldn't understand, switched to English

Lovely historic house, quirky decor, kind helpful hosts and very good communication, very nice breakfast, comfy large bed. Lovely garden with a pond and ducks at the back- so tranquil and relaxing. Walking distance to the town centre.
A bit of a traffic noise from a busy street outside but is settled down at night -we had a pretty good sleep. Room at the back is very likely more quiet but we preferred a room with en- suite bathroom. There is no shoes upstairs policy so you are given crocks- did not bother us, just for info.
