Chalet Burglauenen Grindelwald

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed this chalet! It was very spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for everyone, with three double beds and one single bed, a lovely living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, and a beautiful terrace where we could relax. The kitchen had all the necessary dishes, utensils and appliances, which made our stay very comfortable. The host was extremely kind and welcoming. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful welcome gifts — a bottle of wine, chocolates and nuts. Such a lovely touch that made us feel at home right away! The location is also excellent, only about a 5-minute drive from Grindelwald. We stayed for just one night, but we would have happily stayed much longer. Everything was perfect for us, and we would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

Nothing — everything was great and we were very happy with our stay.

This place was great! I was honestly a little nervous when I read some of the other reviews, but maybe those people stayed in a different apartment (I think there might be a different one in the basement). Ours was upstairs and it was lovely. It had 3 nice bedrooms, a nice kitchen and eating space, a comfortable living room, and a beautiful balcony with a great view! We liked the sound of the river outside, and overall it was very comfortable for our family. The location and price were perfect.

Nothing really, we had a great stay. The only negative was that the pillows had no structure so maybe they could provide some extras, but that is a very minor thing. It was lovely and the hosts were very responsive.

Great location in terms of the locality to the train stop opposite.

Lack of items for cooking at the property- this was the main gripe. Property is situated right on the main route into Grindelwald, this wasn’t ideal for travelling with 2 classic cars and ‘secure parking’. Very muggy in the hot weather with little ability to air the apartment due to the noise from the river/waterfall outside.
