Nice & beautiful place at wonderful location .

Fun and peaceful

The place was well maintained and stocked. We loved the comfort and convenience of the chalet.

The most difficult part was getting to the property, even though the property owner made good pictures of the place, it is very inconspicuous and the road to the property is unpaved which means very difficult for cars to get there on a rainy day. Secondly the property exteriors needed maintenance. The wooden deck was dangerously damaged and could have easily caused injury if someone fell through it.

Okay, but not exactly what we expected based on the description and photos.

The inside was clean, and the kitchen had decent appliances, etc. The coffee machine was a nice added feature.

The online photos of the outside of the chalet are very misleading. The exterior of the facility is rather run-down, the grounds are not cared for, and the deck area is quite dated. The only way to access the entrance is over very rudimentary and uneven homemade stone steps. One of the people in our party has some mobility issues, and using these stone steps was challenging for him. In addition, he would never have been able to get to the second floor since the only access is via a very steep spiral staircase. Fortunately he was able to use the downstairs bedroom. The downstairs bathroom does not have a shower stall, just a tub with a shower faucet, so it was also challenging for him to get into and out of the tub. The second floor double mattress has large divots, which makes it somewhat uncomfortable for sleeping. There is a stackable washer/dryer unit, which was convenient; but the dryer unit appears to be unvented, and it does not get very warm, necessitating extremely long dryer cycles. Finally, there is a very large ongoing road project literally at the entrance to the driveway leading to the chalet. It made accessing the chalet more difficult, and on one of the mornings the workers had the driveway blocked with equipment, which required us to have to wait until they moved it. It would have been nice for the owners to mention this in advance, but that did not occur.

Enjoyable place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds in Grindewald.

Great kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom.

The height of the ceilings, I’m over 6ft so I was walking around like a hunchback trying to avoid smacking my head.

Wonderful experience

The chalet itself is very cozy and comfortable with all the amenities present. I would especially like to mention that the hosts are really helpful. I forgot a pair of shoes on the property and they took the pain to deliver it to me without any additional service fee. We were 5 adults sharing this property and had a wonderful experience. It is good to have a car if you plan to come here as the nearby town which is Grindelwald is 7-8mins drive from the property. The chalet also have a jacuzzi which was a rare benefit.

Everything was beautiful. Kids loved the bedroom setups. Surroundings beautiful.

The only thing i didnt like is that the place was freezing when we arrived. Heaters could have been switched on prior to.our arrival or fireplace prepared with wood and fire starters so all we would have to do is light up. Apart from that everything was superb. Location, house everything great.

Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, man braucht für alles ein Auto Die Deckenhöhe ist aussergewöhnlich tief, bin nur 182cm gross habe jedoch mehrfach den Kopf angeschlagen. Für eine Woche zu wenig Tücher

Domek na totalnym odludziu, troche strach w nocy. Generalnie w domku brudno, w wannie pelno wlosow. Na zewnatrz tez teren niezadbany. Wyposazenie domku czasy swietnosci tez ma juz za soba. Wyglada to troche jak zbieranina starych rzeczy od kogoś z domu.
