Old Town - Aparthotel Michalska

The apartment itself was lovely and, overall, I enjoyed my stay. It was spacious and comfortable, although it was lacking a few basic essentials and there was a slight smell coming from the toilets. These were minor issues compared with the overall quality of the apartment. Unfortunately, my experience with the check-out arrangements left a disappointing final impression.

On the second day of my stay, I contacted reception through Booking.com to request a late check-out until 3pm. I was advised that there would be a charge, which I was happy to pay. As there was no option on Booking.com to make payment for this, I reasonably assumed the charge would be settled at check-out. I also have the email correspondence of my request On the day of departure, I received a phone call asking me to leave the apartment by 1:45pm. When I checked out, handed back the keys and explained that I had requested the 3pm late check-out, I was told that no such request had been made, despite me having the email I sent through the site What was particularly disappointing was the manner in which this was handled. I found the receptionist, Lucie, to be quite rude and unhelpful. A simple apology or acknowledgement that there had clearly been a misunderstanding would have made a significant difference, and I would have left with a much more positive impression. To make matters even more frustrating, at 3:05pm — approximately an hour after I had already checked out and handed back the keys — I received an email telling me that check-out was at 11am and asking me to leave the apartment. This only added to the confusion and made the situation feel unnecessarily unpleasant. It is a shame because the apartment itself was lovely and could have resulted in a very positive review. Unfortunately, the way the check-out issue was handled overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable stay. I would recommend that management review how requests made through Booking.com are communicated to reception and, more importantly, how misunderstandings with guests are handled.

The location is great. 5 minutes from everything and close to restaurants and attractions. Clean and handy.

The location, the nice lady at the reception and the little terrace (list not in a particular order) made this stay really nice.

There is nothing not to like in this place.

No t enough towels or basic kitchen equipment expected for self catering. Towels threadbare!
