Convenient and comfortable value for money for budget travellers

Value for money when travelling on a budget, with basic but comfortable rooms. The shared bathroom and separate toilet were always clean. I would stay here again. A word of caution: It is situated on the third floor (ground floor plus three), about 110 steps up, and no lift: a good check to see how fit you are! Close and convenient to the station, it is however on the non-CBD side of this and you may be propositioned after dusk: mind if you are sensitive to this.

With the kitchen being shared with the hosts, it was a bit overwhelming to remember everything about what may and may not be used in the kitchen - I did not see an explanatory notice or signs for later reference.

Spacious room, shared bathrooms are clean, kitchen space nice although shared, walking distance to train station, host was friendly greeting us during check in

4 flights of steps without elevator, not mentioned in the description. If there was information about this in the description we probably wouldn’t book it in the first place. It’s a homestay, you will be living in the apartment with the owner. There’s some rules to separate the boundaries of the owner from the guests which can generally make the entire stay more awkward or unwelcoming for guests The neighbourhood is an unfriendly and unclean area so please look it up if you travel alone or with family Overall not worth the price per night for the experience you will receive

Very nice!

The host are very kind and welcoming. It is a nice space, feels like home. The location is great, close to the train station with food options nearby. The kitchen and bathrooms must have been renovated recently, very nice.

The room was pretty bright and you can hear all the noise from other rooms and hallway. Nothing that a sleep mask and ear plugs cannot fix! Be prepared for the stairs, it is like climbing mount everast.

Dirty bedsheets!

- Location is near the central station -Bathroom is big and cleaned, kitchen and bedroom are also big

-Bedsheets are really really dirty with white stains -Pillow has also stains -Landlord is a bit rude -Towels had a bed smell -Uncomfortable and hard mattress -Dangerous neighbourhood, we felt unsafe.

Unnecessary mistake.

There wasn't much to like, the shared bath maybe, it was renovated and clean.

Hansaplatz is a good example of a bad area near a main station. The room I was in was spacious but the bed was awful, mattress too old and the pillow a disgusting lump of feather with sweat stains.

NOT a hotel! NOT a good location! NOT accessible!

on arrival, I was greeted by a very kind lady, who was the proprietor

the “hotel” is located in an area that’s quite dense with hotels, so one assumes that all is well. however, it’s only when you arrive at the property that you realize the trouble you are in! if you are lucky enough to not get robbed while arriving at the 140 stairs that leads to the property at the top of Hamburg, you will for sure feel disappointed with the yoga mat that they call a mattress. the shared toilet brings you back to the memories of your childhood, when you had to make sure to be the first in the toilet in the morning so that the others could enjoy your musk. I’m summary, did not stay my whole stay. got a real hotel instead. I did ask the landlady if it was a private accommodation to make sure that I could change. she answered me only very short before my journey, which was very convenient as my unbooking date has passed just a one day before. all-in-all, not a good experience and I feel that the description on booking is not 100% honest

A wonderful week in Hamburg.

And even though the area is very busy and loud, I did not hear too much at night even with the windows open.

The wifi could be better. Several router options are offered but none are great. Websites were loading for ages or videos, movies just paused for quite a while.

Exceptional

This is a brilliant little property, right in the middle of everything and 3minutes from central station but most things you could even walk to. The Zimmermans are a lovely couple, Who provided the perfect balance of hostel style communal living but also a quite private atmosphere like a hotel. If I’m ever back in Hamburg I will hoping to stay here again.

Pretty property, but we felt incredibly unsafe

The property was pretty, we had a nice room.

It's located in a really bad neighborhood. My friend and I are both young women and we have never felt more unsafe than we have here. We got harassed on the street by men, and even by waiters who kept offering us drinks even though we said no. We decided to leave early and book another hotel in a safer neighborhood. I messaged the owner about our issue and they only responded when we said where we left the key. This just came off as unsympathetic and unbothered. They didn't care that we felt unsafe. If you're a young woman, don't stay here, don't stay anywhere in that area for that matter. It isn't safe. Another downside was that you had to climb 4 flights of stairs before you could get to your room.

Highly recommended calm/quiet place to stay; GREAT location & price!

Clean room & shared facilities (including fully equipped kitchen). Quiet stay, although some noise from street as windows needed to be open due to temperature. Never had to wait to use shared facilities.

WiFi was patchy - sometimes it worked, othertimes it was not useable. 100 steps up to room with no lift - hassle when you forgot something!

Everything's was very clean and bed was so comfortable. It is very well located, as it is close to the central station, you can go anywhere in a couple of minutes.

As the apartment is made of wood, everything cracks. There's always smell of boiled fruits and vegetables when you arrive.

Great location, only few minutes from the central station. Very clean room as well as bathroom (with huge shower) and kitchen. It all was very cozy and felt like home. After reading all the opinions I was a bit concerned about the stairs, but it was not so bad (good workout:))

Unfreundliche Gastgeberin

Zentral gelegen, saubere, schöne Altbauwohnung.

Die Gastgeberin war direkt von Anfang an sehr unfreundlich, hat uns ignoriert und man hatte generell das Gefühl nicht erwünscht zu sein. Die Handtücher haben muffig gerochen, das Bett war unbequem und zusammen geklebt. Der Hausflur des Hauses hat extrem gestunken und war generell ungepflegt.

Cercano a la estación central

La ubicación era muy buena, cerca de la estación de tren. Muy buena comunicación a la hora de gestionar la llegada.

La cama no era muy comoda Se trataba de un cuarto sin ascensor. No pudimos dejar las maletas allí el día del checkin mientras salía nuestro tren.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr günstig, ganz in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofes. Auch zum ZOB sind es nur ein paar Gehminuten. Im Umfeld sind viele Lokale.

In den Angaben zur Unterkunft habe ich den Hinweisvermisst, dass es keinen Aufzug gibt. (4. Stock!) Überdies war nicht ersichtlich, dass die Unterkunft innerhalb einer Privat-Wohnung liegt und Bad/Toilette mit anderen Parteien gemeinsam genutzt wird.

Endroit calme et bien situé.

La chambre est confortable et bien au calme. Bien placée. L'idée de partager la cuisine avec les propriétaires est propice aux échanges avec eux et les autres voyageurs. Le monsieur est ouvert à la discussion et au partage d informations sur la ville d' Hambourg.

Le quartier n'est pas sûr pour des femmes seules. Il y a beaucoup de sdf complètement saouls et bruyants sur la place. C'est dommage car c'est un bel endroit. La sensation d'avoir dérangé la dame (elle semblait fermée à notre présence dans le partage de la cuisine), contrairement au monsieur plutôt ouvert à la conversation et conseils sur la ville d'Hambourg.

Idéal pour un court séjour

Le calme du logement. La proximité de la gare et des commerces. Nous avons utilisé gratuitement les vélos de la ville via l'application STADTRAD. Très simple à utiliser et très pratique pour visiter la ville.

Il manque un porte serviette dans la chambre. Pas de possibilité de laisser les bagages le dernier jour jusqu'au départ mais une consigne est disponible à la gare. Attention: 4° étage sans ascenseur

Top Lage, Rest totale Katastrophe..

liegt sehr Zentral und war sauber

Tür konnte man trotz Schloss nicht ganz verschließen. Boden und Betten knarzten extrem laut, weshalb man sich besonders abends in der Wohnung sehr unwohl fühlt da man alles durch die Wände hörte. Man lebt mit den Besitzern in einer Wohnung zusammen, was im Voraus nicht ganz klar war. Die Küche ist die Private Küche von den Besitzern, man darf sich dort weder hinsetzen, essen oder lange aufhalten, da die Familie dort arbeiten möchte. Auch das wurde im Voraus nicht klar kommuniziert. Als Gast hat man das Gefühl nicht wirklich Wilkommen zu sein weil man immer wieder darauf hingewiesen wird das der Familie alles vorbehalten wird.
