Nice stay

The property itself is beautiful, the gardens are lovely. In the back are the Rama Village rooms and the pool, which is open to guests of both the Village and Homestay. The staff are lovely. The room was cleaned daily. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The location is good especially in rainy season since establishments are within walking distance and a scooter isn’t needed daily.

The mirror in the bathroom is set high up so anyone less than 5’3 will be affected (there’s a mirror in the bedroom that can be used instead). The bathroom doesn’t have counter space for keeping bathroom items such as cosmetics bags, so it may feel dorm-like carrying things in and out each day. However, there is a small mirror shelf for holding toothbrush or small items. The room itself is small. The most negative side was that some guests were up until 3am talking to each other or on the phone outside. The voices carry info the rooms. This didn’t happen nightly, but a few nights. A noise machine or earplugs are a good idea. Perhaps a sign encouraging late night conversations to take place by the pool in the back would be helpful.

Brilliant stay with Krisna Homestay

Great location, beautiful surroundings around the guest houses and pool area which was bigger than expected. Staff very helpful and friendly, allowing us to check in early and store our storage on our last day after checking out. They even included us in their new year's celebration sharing lovely food and joy! Will absolutely come back here if back in Canggu. Great guesthouse!

Perfect accommodation in Canggu - even if you want to stay longer

The room was clean and spacious and it was cleaned every day. There was a guest kitchen and hot water available and free coffee and tea, too. Swimming pool was nice. I also liked the location of the hotel, there were various shops, cafés and restaurants by the same street. For yoga-lovers, Serenity Bali is within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was very polite and friendly. Everything worked well.

Staff was lovely. Great location. Pool was amazing!

The room had a tiny window and the lighting was bad. For me, it was depressing and sad inside. Also the outdoor shared kitchen was very primitive. However every part of the property was spotless clean.

Peaceful getaway close to everything

The pool are is amazing. Very clean and relaxing. The rooms are comfortable with nice shower and balcony area. Very quiet despite the central location. Would definitely stay there again.

Ok for a few days, book a room away from the noisy animals

The location is great. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The place is green and typical. The room was basic but clean.

The noise. They have 4 dogs and other animals being very noisy 24/7. I woke up very often at 4am because of the dogs barking no stop. I’d recommend asking for a room far away from the animals to hear them a little less. The room was pretty small and not a lot of facilities, I had to leave my clothes and beauty products in the suitcase. I’d invest in more furniture

Great place to stay, definitely recommended!

I always stay here when I come to Canggu. The room is quite simple and basic, but it is comfortable and in a great location, quiet area but still walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants, and 10 minutes walking to the beach. You can lock the wardrobe to keep valuables there. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Would be great if they supplied pool towels here too; like they do in Rama Village.

Lovely stay

Beautiful little homestay tucked away in canggu, in a brilliant location. It was peaceful even though the area is busy. The staff are incredibly friendly. The room was small but perfect. Very clean, with WiFi and AC. The pool area is absolutely beautiful! I would definitely return.

Such a fantastic stay!

I originally booked this as a back-up as my original hotel was booked. After just one night I decided to stay a few more weeks... it is so quiet, clean, great location, beautiful pool, coffee in the morning, and the staff is fantastic... so helpful and friendly. AND... I need to add that the shower is awesome! Great water pressure and so much better than many of the other places I stayed that cost so much more. Great value overall. Thanks for the wonderful stay and I look forward to coming back!

Lovely spot

Lovely property. An amazing pool. This was a blessing during the Nyepi day. owner was very helpful in getting me a cab to the airport. bed was a little too hard for me, but would stay again for the pool

For solo traveler, this is the best to stay in canggu

The best stay ever. I wanted to spend time alone and this stay was the best choice. It’s in the center of Canggu and very quiet. They have a small balcony and free tea&coffee you can have everyday. There is the best local restaurant outside across the street of sushi place and also small Indian stool opens until 3-4am. It’s surrounded by western restaurants too. What I like to most is the swimming pool. It was located in the middle of rice fields. I could hear birds chirping all the time. Nice and smily staffs. Nothing to complain about.

Ideal location, great for a cheap quick stay but not comfortable for anything more than 1/2 nights.

Perfect location and staff were really friendly and helpful. Aircon was really powerful and perfect to use to keep the room cool. I felt really safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler here.

The bed was really uncomfortable and was only given one pillow and a thin sheet. It made for a really unpleasant stay. The main light is a bright white blinding light which made the place feel really hostile.

Excellent value for money, I would return

Would recommend Krishna Homestay for excellent value for money and comfort. The guesthouse is charming and the pool and chill out area are very nice considering the price. The bed was comfortable for me, the bathroom clean and shower had good pressure, wifi was strong and no problems. Accommodation is basic and I don’t think you can expect much more for the price, it is comfortable though. Soap is provided and towels - you need to bring any other toiletries you need. As a solo female I felt safe at the homestay and while this is a short walk down a nicely appointed alleyway I did not feel unsafe even when coming back late at night. The staff are helpful, there is storage for luggage and they let me use the pool shower and changing area before my flight. I chose this homestay to do yoga at radiantly alive next door and the location was perfect. Bring an eye mask if you are sensitive to light, there is a panel above the door where light can come in.

Bad experience, stay away.

Staff was really friendly and the pool that is quite far away is nice (but nobody maintains the day beds u have to take the cushion yourself). Cafes opposite were really good too. Those were the only redeeming points, don't stay there unless are ok with a small dark smelly room with a lot of noise.

I thought it was a good homestay since it's so popular but now I think it is only due to the location. The room is tiny, dark and has a musty smell. The roof leaked during a big storm directly onto the bed, and there's sawdust on one part of the floor in the first week that I suspect is termites but the staff said its from the wooden wall panel. The "rain" shower is small tiny jets of water spraying everywhere so inefficiently I had to tie a plastic bag with holes over it so I can get the water to fall down with greater pressure. There's almost always yoga sounds from the building next door at 8am, guests and staff chatting at the courtyard loudly and techno music played late into the night. The room is tiny and has just 3 power points, one low beside the bed, one away from the bed high on the wall and one in the toilet. Initially thought it was clean at least, but found a dead centipede and roach in the room and roach was there for many days despite daily housekeeping. The bedsheet was literally a sheet of thin cloth until I asked for a thicker blanket.
