Bed was very comfortable & linens on bed lovely.

Tv remotes didn’t work Slope of ceilings in bedroom & bathroom a bit if a hazard for tall people. Several lights not working including outside light which made arrival difficult in the dark Bath towels way too small

Was here for graduation

It has everything you need, very clean, love the shower. Compact and cosy and within walking distance to the cathedral. Loved it will definitely stay again if I'm back here.

The only thing I can is the lighting but I was trying to crochet so that's on me.

Do yourself a favour and look around at other properties

Bed comfy, bathroom modern.

Broken furniture, toilet flush issues, heaters not working on arrival, wonky toilet seat, tatty and broken outside furniture, bare minimum cooking utensils, poorly maintained grounds, movement sensor lights not working, main sitting room light not working. Messages to hosts ignored. No compendium to explain anything.

It is a small but cosy apartment. Comfortable bed, good kitchen area and bathroom. The shower tray was a bit slippy it could do with a mat otherwise excellent.

The dark lampshades made the room a bit dark.

Disappointing internet connect adequate accommodation

It was clean and tidy and suitable accommodation for our trip

The shower had black mouldy grout It was dark inside the house and no view from any windows The MAIN issue was we couldn’t connect to the internet it kept buffering An email was sent to the owner when we arrived and there was no reply I use my internet for business proposes I am an accountant and there were a few clients I could not contact It should be clearly stated that the internet is poor .

It was just what we needed to get ready for a wedding .

Cute and compact .

There were no towels when we arrived so had to go out to buy 2 . When we got back to the property some towels had appeared on the table . There wasn’t a sink plug in the kitchen which made washing up a bit difficult. The heating came on at night which made it very hot but no instructions for turning it off .

Good but could be so much better

Good position with easy bus access to city centre, roomy, quiet, in theory well equipped

Needed deep clean and repairs to shower (blocked waste) lavatory (leaking) outside light (failed when we were there) Some revision of kitchen corner (not enough sockets for equipment) would be welcome. Sent messages re shower but no response.

Very clean, very well appointed. In a pleasant, quiet street but a little too far from the city centre to walk there.

Only problem is that pets aren't allowed - we usually have a dog with us.

Quiet, nice villages, had to change apartments.

Shower was a big problem, one didn't work and they needed a good scrub. No curtains in bedrooms, so not very dark.

Served its purpose

The walk in shower didn’t work. It was just a dribble of water. Once it started ok & then just stopped. There was a shower head over the bath but as there was no shower curtain water went everywhere.

Comfy and quiet

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely. Needs updating new tv, as colour has gone, new kettle, very scaly. The pole to the curtains fell off when I pulled the curtains so I had to get on a chair and put back up and it was held with masking tape. The cups etc were dirty so I didn’t eat there.

Great week in Winchester

We have stayed here before this is such a lovely place. The owners are Very friendly and helpful. I had a battery problem in the car, they called a local repair shop and a mechanic was with me in 5 mins. Took the car away for testing. Back again all fixed. In addition the owners let us remain in the accommodation while we waited as we had just booked out. Thank you guys we will be back.

Stayed 5 nights with lots of travelling needed a good base to rest

Location was good <10 min walk to a good bus stop direct into town with frequent buses. It was quiet and peaceful Shower was great good pressure easy to operate separate shower cubicle Great car parking totally off road and easy to manoeuvre into

TV was ancient could have done with something more up to date after a long day site seeing A bit more attention to cleanliness and maintenance of the place would be good Middle of summer a portable fan would be a quick cheap addition to help with the summer night sleeping

Visitors from the north

Perfect for a couple of nights to explore Winchester. We walked to and from, but thought about using the bus to come back up the hill! We were allowed to check in early as the room was ready.

We were happy to be out of town, but some visitors might feel that it's a disadvantage!

This was our third visit, having stayed at Gala before. This time we chose Braemar and the property did not disappoint. Everywhere was very clean and the kitchen area offers nearly new, very good and varied cooking facilities. An auto dishwasher might be a better option rather than a clothes washing machine. Gala has both. The freezer needed a defrost. Also the toilet cistern did refill. I reported this to the lady in the main house and a plumber came around the day after and sorted the problem. By the way it might be an idea to put on the website the the lady in the main house is not the owner and that high light any issues should go elsewhere. All minor points and I give the stay there 9/10. Well done.

Great for a short stay in this lovely city.

The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay & it was a real bonus to have parking. Great shower with lots of hot water. Good value for money.

The bathroom is quite dark ,so a light over the mirror would help.

Location suited us fine as near relatives we were visiting. Walk to city centre took about 40 minutes. Situated in a quiet area. Clear instructions provided on how to find the place.

The washing up materials arrived on the second day.

Needs a new cleaner

Lovely 2 night stay, has everything you need and location great. Think it was maybe cleaned in a rush? Shower screen wasnt clean, it all looked rushed quick wipe of kitchen cupboards you could see the marks, glass doors had fingerprints, could go on but just a lack of attention to detail. Not a huge space to clean so should have been spotless. Nice clean bedding and comfy bed . The reviews were great so not sure why this time wasnt so great? We did leave 2 coats behind and Michael very kindly posted on a keyring that was in a pocket.

A tale of two half’s unresponsive owner very scruffy facade ,but some comforts

Location Parking Access to Winchester Spacious for two Quiet residential street very leafy and pleasant Access to property however at night not all security lights were working

It’s a mess around the back where our property was located ,the door and entrance was scruffy The bathroom radiator did not work and I’m still waiting a response from Michael which I made on Fridays arrival The large property that overlooks the apartment Braeburn was also very scruffy . Their was someone’s sock in the bedroom so not well cleaned

Bed was unacceptable as broken and could not sleep

the bed is so uncomfortable. It is such a soft mattress that it is not possible for two people to sleep comfortably as you end up rolled into the middle of the bed . There were two slats broken and should not be be marketed unless repaired No shower gel, pillow cases dirty , stained .

Quaint area, could be v nice with a little larger rooms & a little more detail.

Light in kitchen didn’t work, no plug in sink to wash pots, no T towel, no dish cloth, could do with bigger towels, bed was v uncomfortable, & the curtain could be better, smoking area could do with weeding & some seating.

Location with parking was great. Apartment big enough for the two of us. Thought kitchen unit was a great idea for the space.

Bathroom needs more light, husband had to move mirror to kitchen unit to see to have a shave. Also bathroom door sticks which makes too much noise during the night . Few cobwebs but overall clean.

Really good studio, well equipped and clean.

The studio was excellent and its location was ideal for both trips into Winchester or visiting local attractions. the apartment was well appointed and clean with on site parking.

The bed needs renewing. Very Soft with large dip in middle.
