Amazing location on the reed island and friendly host. There was also a fire heating the room so it was really cosy. The room was huge with a lovely seating area overlooking the lake

A very charming and unique place to stay, with beautiful views and a wonderfully peaceful and serene atmosphere. Staying on a local Uros island was a special experience, and we really enjoyed learning about how the islands are built and maintained, as well as the history and traditions of the Uros people.
We particularly enjoyed using the complimentary kayaks to explore the island and take in the surroundings from the water.
One area that could be improved is communication in advance. It would have been helpful to know the meal times, where meals would be served, and who would be taking us on the Uros Islands tour and what the tour would involve. It would also have been useful to know beforehand whether the kayaks were available to use freely whenever we wanted.
We recognise that it might not have been such an issue if we had good Spanish!

Uros lodge has beautiful panoramic views of the lake right outside the room, and the terrace is a wonderful place to relax in.
Cesar is a great and local host and his tour and experience of the islands shows how unique a place it is. He was also very helpful to me personally when I had an urgent medical issue, finding me a clinic and organising the transport there and back seamlessly. Food was really nice and plentiful too.
A compost toilet is a new experience for us but of course to be expected!
