Highlight of our trip!

The stay at the Roubuer was the highlight of our trip to Lofoten! The unit was very spacious and cozy. The big window in the living room offered great view to the mountain and water. We saw amazing northern light from the terrace in the unit. Packing was also easy, just right by the front door. It was also a short drive to A and Reine, so we managed to visit the two villages early in the morning before the crowds were there.

The kitchen is not equipped with any cooking ingredient, so make sure to bring your own if you plan to cook

It served the perfect purpose for that particular stage. The location, the view out the window, facilities and overall level of comfort gave me everything I wanted.

Cleanliness and equipment. We planned to stay 3 nights. After first night we moved to new place and asked for refund without result. Avoid this turistic trap => nice pictures, different reality and poor cleanliness.

Unhygienic and poorly maintained property prompted early departure

Upon arrival, we encountered multiple issues with the accommodation that made it unsuitable for our stay. The toilet had either excrement or a dead insect, the kitchen sink contained leftover spaghetti and was visibly dirty, and the dishwasher had food residue. The kitchen cabinets and doors showed visibly rotten wood, the “non-stick” frying pan was heavily scratched, the mattress was sagging and the entire space had noticeable hair and dust buildup. Additionally, the bathroom sink did not drain properly. Given the extent of these issues, it was clear that the property had not been adequately cleaned or maintained prior to our arrival. Addressing these issues would have required significant intervention, including deep cleaning, plumbing repairs, and carpentry work, which could not reasonably be resolved during our stay. As we had booked a vacation cabin expecting a clean and functional space, not a property in need of major cleaning and repairs, we felt compelled to leave within an hour and secure alternative accommodation. We reported the issues to Booking.com, who informed us that the owner and an employee had inspected the property and found no problems, and mentioned to Booking.com that our expectations were too high. To provide transparency, I have included photos of the conditions we encountered. I encourage potential guests to review these photos, the property description, and the listed price to determine if this accommodation meets their standards.

Perfect relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle

Excellent location, on/above the water. Spectacular views. Living room window to enjoy views on a rainy day. Warm and cozy. Nice sauna. Good as a base to discover the area all the way up to Reine, even without a car. Bus connections take you everywhere with a bit of timetable planning and Reis Nordland App. Shop 10 minutes walk.

The kitchen equipment is a little...just the essentials....

Spacious and modern interior but thin walls

Apartment is very modern and well done out, with good cooking facilities and comfy seating. View from it is great and location is good for some of the more popular hikes and sites.

Sadly we didn’t head the other reviews about thinness of walls on apartments that are ajoining. This was much more intrusive than we were happy with meaning we couldn’t relax at all so we cut our stay short and the owners refunded us which was good of them. Probably not an issue for detached properties.

Good cabin with nice view, comfortable and clean rooms with kitchen. Not far from a ferry terminal.

It is not separate cabin, it connected to a neighbouring one and you can hear noisy neighbours through the wall, sound insulation is not good. No breakfast offered.

Lovely cabin located in the lovely village of sorvagrn. The cabin we stayed in, Oskar, had a beautiful view. The kitchenette was large and functional. Overall a great place for a couple of nights at lofoten!

We were very happy to stay at the Fisherman Cabins!

Perfect place at the shore with a fantastic view to mountains and sea.

The flat has even a sauna, which we were happy to use, being Finns. A problem fixing proposal to the house owner: In a sauna you throw water on hot stones to create steam and heat. Part of this water flows through the oven to the floor, obviously. If the floor is not tilted correctly, which is the case here, the water stays on the floor and is difficult to wipe off from below the fixed seats. Moisture in any structure typically creates problems over time.

Was very very very COLD!!!! We been sleeping at the sofa bed in the dining room as there was the only one heater in the whole apartment. In the bedroom was only 7-12C so impossible to sleep for the price of €100 per night!!! I would not recommend to stay in those cabins over winter!!!!
