i planned to book 2 nights in this hotel but someone beat me to it. nevertheless, my 1 night was totally worth it and would totally recommend it. i'd definitely stay again here if going back to Shirahama. though there's no 24hr. reception , the owner let me leave my luggage before checkin and after checkout. the room was relatively big enough and there were racks for drying clothes at the balcony. there's also a safe in the locker. you need to leave your shoes at ground floor in exchange for room slippers , compared to most hotel where you start wearing the slippers just in the room. though , the catch here is , the slippers are not exclusive for you as anyone can use it going in and out which is a bit unhygienic compared to just using your own inside the room. i hope they change this process. Wifi was also fast and the whole hotel feels homey. it's also just a few minutes walk from the bus stop and beach and to everywhere in the beach area. i especially like automatic panda trash can !
