Although the hotel design is a little dated, it was clean and well maintained. If you’re travelling by bus, it is walking distance to 2 bus stops to catch transport to and from the train station or if you are intending to travel further to the Kumano Kodo trails. Buffet spread was pretty extensive with a good variety of Japanese and international offerings. The highlight would be the onsens. Perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking

Great location, staff and accommodations. Would highly recommend

Ladies or men have separate indoor and outdoor onsen, and sauna, and a common heated swimming pool, the facilities are serene and very clean. We woke up to the breathtaking view overlooking the Shirahama seashore and the magical Kawakyu museum architecture, thanks to the location of the hotel. The only drawback is do watch what you are booking with Agoda. I set up the room search for 2 adults 2 small kids, Agoda returned with mixed offerings including 2 adults room deal, I ended up paying a little extra for the addition of two kids after negotiation with the hotel. I feel this is a dishonest presentation of good deals from Agoda, and damages trust between hotel and us. I would not recommend Agoda due to this.

overall an nice hotel, make sure you are driving here otherwise the shuttle is very few and the bus would be full for hours (and won't let you get on)...
