MariaHome Sorrento

The property at MariaHome was stunning.!! The views of Vesuvius every morning from the balcony were just the perfect way to start the day.!

Location wise.. it was close enough to walk down to the heart of Sorrento each day, but you would need a taxi or hire car to get back up.!!!

The location is beautiful and the grounds are amazing, with flowers and lemons growing everywhere.  Maria, the host, was fantastic and eager to help with any questions or situation.  It is a short car ride to town, but there are other options as well.  The view from the roof top deck and the unit's balcony are a great place to start and end the day.

It's a distance out from Sorrento. Best reached if you have a car, but if fit and healthy no problem. About twenty five minutes walk down to Sorrento (longer coming back up the hill))

The view from the balcony, the lemon grove, the hospitality of the owner, cleanliness and a nice design of the apartment. We received a welcome pack- bottle of cold water and a small bottle of homemade limoncello.

For us the beds were not comfortable, a double one was very soft and the two twin ones very hard for a change. Also the towels were not nice to use as they look extremely old and worn out. The location wasn’t convenient for us because the walk down to the city centre was too far and no pavement on either side (cars and motorbikes speeding down the road) am every day we had to take a car to the public paid car park, leave it there and then take a ferry or a train or a bus. Another thing is that i chose this property because of the game room which i thought would be exclusively for us but it is shared with the other apartment which i hadnt been aware of at the time of booking. Such a shame because every evening we wanted to use the game room it was occupied by another family.
