8 Ocean Drive was one of the most enjoyable holiday accommodation places we have come across in a very long time. Willie and Pat are the most wonderful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The unit is clean and neat and has everything one needs. The unit is serviced daily and laundry is also done. It is within walking distance of one of the best swimming beaches in Ballito. Lifeguards are on duty from 06:00 to 18:00 during peak season and from 08:00 to 16:00 during off-season. The unit has a lovely braai area overlooking the sea. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, as well as a lovely swimming pool. We have already made a booking for December 2026–2027.

Location was good.
Walls are thin, having the host reprimand staff at 7 in the morning with voices carrying is not conducive. Though not self catering (my error), plates and mugs are provided but no cleaning materials nor cleaning facilities. Washing mugs and plates in the bathroom basin is not ideal
