Apartments Cyrano 1&2

Warm welcome by the host even we arrived much later than expected dur to border controll. Fruits and soft drinks were provided. The apartment was spacious.

The apartment isHUGE! I know MASSIVE for an European flat Plenty of room for two couples or a small family to stay. The amenities were great for making our own meals and it was very comfortable. There is a grocery store, only a few blocks away and an excellent pizza place as well. It is good value for money.

There were a couple of issues: When we arrived, there was definately a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The owner son told us it was from a neighbor’s barbecue, but I don’t think this is actually what was taking place. Obviously someone had smoked in the apartment before we arrived and it lingered for a couple of days, even though we opened the windows and turned on the air conditioning. It wasn’t a pleasant introduction. You need to understand that the apartment is at the top of a VERY steep Hill. Sarajevo is surrounded by mountains and although the walk downhill is not bad the climb back up is not worth it. You need to plan to take a taxi back up to the apartment at the end of each day. The two bedrooms face the street and there is a very loud, very popular dance bar across the street that closes at 2 AM. The locals seem to enjoy it A LOT and they liked to gather outside afterwards for about an hour. If you don’t have earplugs, sleeping can be extremely difficult. It is VERY loud. If you’re planning to stay here, I suggest you invest in some earplugs to help with you sleep soundly.

Clean and spacious

Bed and mattress needs to be changed immediately. Uncomfortable sleeping and 2 small blanket in a double bed . Toilet has no fan . I left 1 day early owner didn’t give me any refund even though I gave them notice 2 days before I leave
