Amazing gem really close to the city center. It s at walkable distance and located in a ‘palazzo’. The apartment has a lot of italian charm, bed was comfy, everything really clean the owner very kind. I personally loved the vibe of this apartment it took me back to old times and made me feel like royalty.
The only thing why I did not give a 10 is that the toilet seat needs changing. It kept on falling off the toilet.

This was one of the best experiences on our entire Italian trip!! It was more apartment than a classic hotel experience. We loved it. We felt like we were living the experience as natives. Bologna was a wonderful medieval city that we really enjoyed. The FOOD, The FOOD, OMG... Anyway this room was really wonderful. At night I would open the window and people watch since the city was so alive.
The key experience was not too difficult but having to deal with properties that don't have a formal reception is challenging. Being a middle aged American this experience of working with un-manned facilities takes some getting used to. But this one was ok. The key was in a marked lock box which once we got the code provided easy access.

The house was beautiful and had an antique charm—you really feel like you’re staying in a museum. It was also very clean and well-equipped with everything you might need. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city centre.
The only downside was the lack of air conditioning because it was very hot. Although there were two standing fans, they were quite loud and not sufficient to cool down the entire space.

The location was great, 20 minute walk to the old town, coffee house right next to the location.
The entrance of the apartment is directly on the sidewalk on one of the main roads. For this reason it can be a bit noisy during the night, the windows are new but because it's a historical building the door is not blocking any of the outside noise. Also, the apartment could use a small upgrade with the bathroom fan, the moisture is not evacuated properly and there is a damp smell.

The location is perfect for walking in Bologna's central districts. The apartment was fully stocked with kitchen appliances and a very nice bathroom.
Due to this apartment (red one) being on the ground floor, it was relatively hard to sleep, but the host provided single-use earbuds to ease sleeping at night.

Nice neighborhood, nice building, apartment is fully equipped. Double bed is big and comfortable for a couple, but not the couch for the third person. Michele is a great and helpful host.
The only thing is the noise of the road, but we already knew it so we were prepared for that. Also Michele has provided us with earplugs.

Due to the night arrival we were not able to check in for the first night. But everything was compensated by the owner!

Great location (30 min on foot to train station)
Spacious, comfortable and very clean apartment.
You can easy cook a lunch or a dinner in the apartment.
Some noise but good quality earplugs were provided which made very quiet night.
In the kitchen the frying pan could be less scratched.
The weird smell in the kitchen and bathroom while water was running (probably it was due to a cleaning detergents)

Very secure apartment in the city centre. The blue flat in which we stayed was pleasantly decorated with art and some repurposed vintage pieces. Michele was very welcoming and friendly and explained the things about the flat before he left, as he was undertaking some repairs which is nice to see.
As it's on Strada Maggiore and the blue flat faces the street, it was very, very loud from very early until after midnight. Michele kindly provided ear plugs, as obviously street noise isn't exactly within his control, but it's just something to keep in mind when booking.

Excellent value for money, centrally located and practical. Very good communication with the host.

nice apartment, with all appliances for kitchen. host is very welcoming and easy to reach. great location: in the city center, near to attractions and university buildings. supermarkets are also very near.
The room was facing the street and it was quite noisy - especially on Thursday and Friday nights (lots of students screaming in the streets); buses and cars pass also quite frequently. The WiFi reception was not optimal everywhere in the apartment.

City center location. The apartment is very large with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, very clean, warm, the furniture is very specific and interesting, as if you are in some baroque time. The owner very communicative and nice. Congratulations With much Respect. We were 3 guests and had a very nice, short, relaxing holiday in Bologna.

We stayed three days at Casa Dondini with my friends. Michelle was an excellent host! He helped us a lot by answering us on any question we had about the transportation or where to leave our luggages before the check in and after the check out and by giving us directions, and proposals for where to eat or which places can we visit..the house is really close to city center ( about 5-7 minutes walking), clean and had anything we needed. Thank you again Michelle again for everything and I hope to visit casa dondini again!

Michele, the host, was very polite and helpful. He gave us tips and showed us around the apartment. It was spacious with two rooms, an equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. Some of the furniture was fragile but it added to the charm of the place. A short walk to the centre of the old city, within the medieval walls.
There was noise coming from the street below but earplugs were provided.

After visiting Bologna for nine annual specific location events, I deliberately chose a new part of this marvellous city as a base. Casa Dondini provided exactly what was needed. The apartment is in an historic building about ten to fifteen minutes’ walk from Piazza Maggiore, in an attractive neighbourhood with shops and supermarket close by and many restaurants. There are buses to so many locations but Bologna is such a marvellous city to explore on foot that we chose that way. In the apartment is a separate double bedroom with ample robes. A living area includes a kitchen with fridge. Modern shower and toilet. We had everything we needed for a four night stay. For those needing wifi, the provision worked well.
Nothing in particular. I can’t comment on car parking.

The blue apartment that we stayed in was big and comfortable. The location is superb- it is in the central part, there are a lot of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants nearby. The host was kind enough to give us tips with good places to go for eating and drinking and the one we tried were awesome. You can go almost everywhere in the city by walk from this location. There is also a kitchen, so someone can cook if they decide to stay in.
The boiler is indeed small and is enough for one person- the other will have to wait a bit for the water to get hot again- this must be taken into consideration. One thing that left a bitter taste of the whole stay however was the fact that on the day of our arrival we informed the host that our flight will be very early in the morning- he himself suggested to write him the day before so he can book a taxi for us (since the public transport is not yet working at 4:30 AM). Unfortunately after the generic message until when we can stay, he did not answer anymore and of course did not book us a taxi- not aware what the reason was, but definitely did not leave a good impression.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and the bed was superbly comfortable and large.
The road outside was relentlessly and constantly noisy with traffic we couldn't sleep. My partner has very bad knees and we didn't know from the booking that there were stairs. From the advertisement I thought that we would stay with closer access to a garden and the apartment was not like the one in the advert.

Great location. A lot of space. Very nice host.
The street can be a bit noisy at night. But I guess it is a tradeoff for very good location. Anyway, our host left earplugs for us next to the bed - that was nice and helpful.

Very clean, pretty good space for two people. Nice decor. Great location.
HORRIBLY NOISY. I thought I booked the room on the interior. No, it was on street, no air conditioning, no fan so windows open for air--unbearably noisy and no dark drapes. No instructions for induction stove, TV. No microwave. Cot bed was very uncomfortable because mattress was thin. I had to sleep on the mattress on the floor,
