Great location to or exploring Venice

Great location, it was a very old building, but you are in Venice!! Bathroom and Kitchen clean, it was very dated. OK for a quick two night stay

Poor and old vintage room.

Extremely old and broken furniture. Room provided to me had no view and portable pathetic AC (with no cooling) was placed on a table. We requested a portable fan which was provided the next day. It's shared kitchen and bathroom. I wish I had pictures.

We really appreciated having the entire apartment for ourselves, which was a great solution when the canal view was not available. The location was also excellent – very close to the station and easy to reach everything.

The air conditioning could have been a little bit stronger.

Definitely a hidden gem for anyone seeking the authentic Venice.

Princess Room was an absolutely charming property in an absolutely magical place. We booked on short notice because of having to extend our stay on a business trip. We were very pleasantly surprised by the home-like atmosphere and comfortable facilities, combined with old-world authenticity. The use of the characteristic Italian kitchen was a nice touch for a midday ‘pranzo’. I loved the easy access to all the restaurants and attractions of beautiful Venice, not to mention a gorgeous sunset, which we enjoyed from the window of our spacious room. Highly recommended. Will stay again for sure!

Awful building, good location

The location

Everything excluding the location, the building is old and smells poorly, the air conditioner did not work and the host did not answer any of my questions regarding this, even though it was a really hot night. The flat is really hot and filled with mosquitoes. The bathrooms were smelly, and dirty, one was even broken. The kitchen was absolutely disgusting, all greasy, oily and smelly, everything was dirty.

Location in cannareggio is close to the water taxi to the airport , fully self reliable for check in/out

It’s an old building like all of Venice so don’t expect too much, I’m not sure if we were supposed to drink the tap water? We never saw the host.

Hoast was super friendly and helpful great communication.

Poor Facilities, Most things were broken at the unit doors barely open and close, some locks were damaged. Kitchen facilities we very basic and kitchen items were out of order. AC filters we so clogged that the aircon didn't work. Beds were uncomfortable. The accomodation was practical and okay but in very poor up keep.

The location was pretty and nice particularly if you use the water bus from the airport.

I hate showing up at a location and seeing rules and fines for breaking those rules if both are not stated up front before we booked it. The number of things and fines they listed was ridiculous. When we got to our room there was somebody’s dirty underwear in the closet. Cleaning was clearly lacking. There is a washer and dryer there with a big sign saying guests can’t use them. The WiFi is pretty weak in some of the rooms.

Old style guest house in historic Venice with some management problems

A guest house in Venetian old town, very close to the railway station. Nice old-style corridor; the room is quite spacious, and has a huge wardrobe with hangers, etc. The kitchen is minimalistic, but sufficient for quick cooking, there is a kettle, toaster, stove and pots. The bathroom was okay, too.

1. The hosts ask to send them passport data on WhatsApp, which might not be convenient to everyone, especially due to data safety concerns. We also asked them several times for an invoice, but did not get any. The cleaning lady who came in the morning did not respond to greetings. 2. The guide inside the property features penalties for incorrect waste disposal, however, the kitchen is lacking organic waste and mixed waste bins… not clear where to put them… 3. The bed in the room was made out of two, which is not very convenient (they are moving apart). Also, the blanket is simply laid over another bedsheet, so there are no proper duvet covers. 4. The toilet flush button is semi-broken, and requires some skill to operate. This was not a problem for us, but was confusing, and might be not comfy for some people. Overall, it seemed like a nice property is not enjoying care from the owners; and the hosts were not very eager to help in case of problems.

Very good

This place is super close to the water taxi station, getting from and to the airport was very easy. Downstairs there's a lovely restaurant with delicious pizza. Beds were comfy, we had a beautiful view from the windows and the whole place was decorated in an old fashioned way, people may don't like it but we enjoyed it. Check-in is easy, you get all the instructions via WhatsApp. All in all I'm happy with my stay.

Wifi was quite poor, water in the bathtub and sinks was cold. I had to wait a loooong time for it to get warm. The kitchen wasn't great, felt a little bit dirty.

The owner sent very detailed instructions on finding the place and getting into the property. They even let us put out luggage before check-in. It was super.

I do not understand all the bad reviews. Maybe people don't read what they are booking before they do so. We had room 1 with canal view and it was fantastic. The view, the size of the room, the comfortable beds, the furniture everything was great. The two spacious bathrooms to share were also great and the kitchen a bonus. This is a great option on a budget and the place does not deserve all the bad reviews just because people don't read and check what they are actually booking. We definitely recommend this place.
