The apartment was so spacious and bright. The views across the bay were amazing. The large beanbag was a massive hit.
Nothing to do with the property but the road in the front an be noisy. We also had noise from the constant movement from the apartment above.

Really responsive host and stunning views! Light and airy place and great location! Close to fishoek beach - we loved kalk bay!.
WiFi wasn't always 100% but I was using data anyway so wasn't too much of an issue.

Beautiful sea views and the property is nicely set above the road with the mature garden blocking traffic views. The caretaker was a lifesaver as there was confusion about the keys with another group checking in. Very nicely renovated with all the necessary kitchen amenities. Bed was comfortable (pillows need replacing though). If you need to stay in the area, it's fairly centrally located.
Sadly this felt like a "bait and switch" situation. All the photos on the listing are actually of the 2 upper floor units and there are none of the downstairs single room unit...for good reason as it is a big downgrade from the layout upstairs. At the price we paid I was expecting a lot more.
Lack of privacy as it is right on top of the common pool area. The deck is also right next to all the access stairs. The deck roofing is the floor of the upper deck and isn't sealed, so not only can you see through the slats (and have the disruption of people stomping above you) but it was raining and we couldn't sit outside as the water just comes through.
The parking is atrocious and not clearly laid out. The property isn't clearly marked with it's name, it's difficult to find the right entrance gate and we would have had no idea which apartment was ours as nothing is labeled. The GPS location also directs you to the property next door and its a very busy small road so was nearly impossible to turn around.
On top of this had we not arrived at the same time as the other guests, they would have taken ALL the keys as they were given the codes for BOTH lock boxes and on top of that the code we were given didn't open the correct box. Was extremely tense and stressful arrival. Had the caretaker not been there it would have been impossible to know where to go or which keys were which as nothing is labeled and there is no site map at the gate.The written directions given were confusing and difficult to follow.
There is a steep flight of stairs up to the unit (the upper floors get private use of an elevator!). Busy recovering from knee surgery, so an unexpected sheer flight of stairs was not welcome. They really should show photos of the actual accessibility for transparency.
The geyser and stove were switched off when we got there and had I not happened to look at the DB board we would have been sitting with cold water that evening.
