Highly recommend this B&B and staff!

What a wonderful stay! Our host Elizabetta was engaging, made us feel welcome at all times and provided great insights to the local area and restaurants. Moneglia (for us) was the perfect base to visit the Cinque Terra and Santa Margarita/Portofino areas - charming seaside town without a crowd of tourists during our visit. Plenty of great restaurants and shops to choose from. Elizabetta and Sabrina provided a thoughtful selection of breakfast items including made to order eggs. Wine (for purchase) was also available on site. We also enjoyed a pasta making class and dinner arranged by Elizabetta at La Ruota Restaurant (exceptional experience with Chef Edoardo!!) Garden area lounge and easy access to the town center enhanced our stay - HIGHLY recommend this quaint B&B!

Once you got used to the train passing by - it quickly became a non-issue. A bird was "overly" cheerful predawn ... and I enjoy listening to birds during the day. (lol)

The best place to stay in Moneglia. Breakfast was incredible with home made cakes and yogurt. A great selection fruit, grains breads cheeses and meats. Elisabetta, daughter and staff are so attentive to your every need. Greeted with a smile and a heart felt Buon Giorno every morning really made you feel like home. They gave us great advice for our day trips, which was greatly appreciated. Our room was amazing and spacious. The large terrace off our room was wonderful to relax on and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the view. The grounds are clean and well taken care of. The free parking was also an added bonus. The location was perfect. Away from the busyness of the Cinque Terre but a short train ride to go and enjoy them. Can’t say enough what a great job this family has done to create such a wonderful place. Next time we are in the area, definitely coming back to stay at the Rocca. Ciao Caio until the next time.🍷

Let’s start from the owners of B&B lovely people , very helpful by helping to choose restaurants, hiking routes etc ! We felt very welcomed from the first step ! All B&B so beautiful and clean , comfortable! An amazing garden with jacuzzi & roof terrace in front of the church! Location is just perfect 👌 6 min to walk to the beach ,2 min to centre ! Breakfast was delicious and fresh .. highly recommend this beautiful place ! Definitely will go back ! Thank you Elisabetta and team ! Grazie mille

Gorgeous property, gardens and home. Just a very short walk to the beach. The hosts were so accommodating and tended to every need. Beautiful and delicious homemade breakfast every morning. Very good air condition. Refrigerator in room stocked with drinks.

A guesthouse experience as I would want to give my guests.

From the WhatsApp sent to confirm the booking, the offer to be collected at the train station, parking available, beautiful set-up, rooms, friendly staff and really amazing breakfast with fruit salad, great coffee, kettle in the room with coffee/tea, it met all possible needs. It is a guesthouse experience as I would expect it and like to offer our guests. Walking distance to the train station and in the centre of a quiet town (in May). Perfect to enjoy an Italian town and pop into Cinque Terre as needed. The jacuzzi was a great bonus.

The place and hospitality were so great, that the "didn't likes" were bearable. It would depend why you visit Moneglia. If you plan to spend time at the guesthouse (I had to work one day), the surprise was the church bell right next door (8am - 8pm) and the train about 200/300m away.

A wonderful place to rest without bothering about parking

Very comfortable place in a totally isolated town on the coast. It almost felt like being on an island and the property was just perfectly located WITH a parking where there seems to be no place to park. In short a gem. The price was a big higher than expected by rational insight of the offer. Elizabetta was super flexible on meeting us at a time that suited us.

I would have liked being told that one could hear the train (but not between 10PM and early AM) nor the church clock butt not after 10PM or before 8AM. Actually neither bothered us but I wold have liked to know.

Lovely boutique hotel, quiet setting , yet close to the centre and beach.

Brilliant location to the centre, as well as being very quiet. Lovely, unique boutique hotel. Very warm, friendly owner who arranged taxis for us and responded quickly to any messages we sent. Good English spoken. Whats more, a lovely buffet breakfast with home made cakes, pastries, pancakes which could be eaten outside on the terrace or indoors. Good information about the local area and recommendations about restaurants. highly recommended

La Rocca Maison de Charme is an extraordinary and indeed a really charming B&B. As Moneglia is a small village, distances to the main street, restaurants, beach and railway station are short (only few minutes by feet). The owners (Alice and Elisabetta) are very friendly and helpfully. The breakfast with fresh and homemade cakes, cookies, jams and fresh fruits is absolutely great. Also Moneglia is a nice little village without party business and a good location for hiking tours along the coast or just relaxing at the sea. Cinque Terre is just 30 min by train and also Genua can be reached by train each hour. The only downside is that the railway tracks are not far away. However, in particular in the night there are not so much trains passing so I have always slept undisturbed, even though I am quite sensitive to noise (so I only want to mention that without considering it as severe drawback). I would give 11 points if that would be possible.

Spent a wonderful time

Very nice Bed and Breakfast . The owner is very gentle and helpful.Amazing breakfast we got every morning. We could choose on a menu what we want for breakfast.The room was very clean. The Bed and Beakfast is in a quiet area close to the pedestrain area.To the train station it takes 15 min. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants. If you want to visit Cinque Terre this is a good place to stay. Thank you again for the nice stay we had in your Bed and Breakfast. Next time we come back to this Bed and Breakfast Rose&Jean-Pierre

Very charming Bed & Breakfast in the city center of Moneglia

Very charming Bed & Breakfast in the center of Moneglia. We loved it there. The hosts are amazing, the breakfast is fabulous and the beautiful garden with the whirlpool is a quiet retreat of the City. The Beach as well as many restaurants, supermarkets and shops are within walking distance, which makes this B&B to a perfect mix between familiar and quiet accommodation but with all the benefits of an inner-city Hotel.

Fairytale house in a garden

La Rocca is truly a wonderful property with a wonderful host. Everything is well provided for, nicely decorated, comfortably furnished. Probably fair to say I have not seen many so well looking B&Bs. You feel like in a fairytale house in the middle of a flower garden. Elisabetta is also a very gracious host, she organised our checkin efficiently and smoothly despite the short notice and prepared an absolutely delicious breakfast. Vegan too!

Absolutely no-one's fault, but the train passes very close to the house and we could hear it as if crossing our room. The windows are however pretty well isolated and earplugs did the trick - we slept like babies.

Perfekte Adresse für Cinque Terre und Genua Reisen

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt! Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich, auf Bestellung unterschiedliche Eierspeisen, die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. Außerdem ist das Hotel sehr gut erreichbar, was die Anreise und Ausflüge in die Umgebung erleichtert. Absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme gerne wieder!

Ein kleiner Nachteil sind die Zuggeräusche in der Nähe – man hört die Züge, aber es lässt sich kaum vermeiden und hat den Aufenthalt nicht wirklich gestört.

Sehr gepflegte Unterkunft mit vielen liebevollen Details an zentraler Lage. Klein und fein. Eigener, grüner Garten, eigener Sitzplatz und Jacuzzi zur Benutzung. Sehr liebevolles Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten, das auch im Garten eingenommen werden konnte. Eigener Parkplatz zur freien Benutzung. Sehr nette, familiäre Betreuung mit Ausflugsvorschlägen und vielen Informationen vor Ort. Mückenschutz an Tür und Fenster, sowie gute Klimaanlage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr schöner, geschützter Strand in Moneglia.

Ein kleiner Abstrich lärmbezogen macht der nahe Zugverkehr, man gewöhnt sich allerdings schnell daran. Die Zufahrt zur Ortschaft ist momentan eine kleine Herausforderung, da unten beide Tunnelzufahrten geschlossen sind!

Mycket bra läge. Mysigt, snyggt och fräscht. Ägarinnan hämtade oss vid stationen. Vi bodde i Faro och hade en stor terrass.

Haus mit Charme!! :-)

Elisabetta und ihre Tochter waren sehr aufmerksam und nehmen grösste Rücksicht auf die Ernährung von Zöliakie-Patienten. Ihre Ausflugs- und Restaurant-Tipps haben wir immer sehr geschätzt. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Auch wenn unser Zimmer eher klein und die Zimmer-Aussicht beschränkt war, ist das ein sehr charmantes Haus, mit einem wunderschönen gemeinsamen Sitzplatz im Hof, wo man auch das Frühstück einnehmen konnte.

Der Umfang der Frühstücks (insbesondere max. 1 Croissant pro Person) passt nicht zum Oberklasse-Preisniveau, dem die Unterkunft zuzuordnen ist, kompliziertes System aus Schlüsseln und Codes an den Türen der Unterkunft, die Unterkunft ist wegen relativ späten Frühstück und nur Stundentakt der am Bahnhof haltenden Regionalzüge nur bedingt für Ausflüge geeignet

Ruhiger Ort und schönes Hotel zum Entspannen!

Tolle Lage, obwohl es unweit von Bahngleisen plaziert ist! Das Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man wird jeden Morgen mit einem tollen Frühstück auf der Terasse verwöhnt.
