Corniglia is enchanting!

We loved the location. It was almost at the very top of the town above the church in a very private setting.

The only window that opens is in the bathroom so in order to get fresh air, you had to leave the room door open, so at night We had to use the air conditioner in order to circulate air. The front door has a fixed window. It would be lovely if that one opened!

am not sure if texting translated very well. Staff person was not friendly through text. We didn't have hand soap. He had shampoo and body wash in shower. I asked for hand soap, and she said it was there. It wasn't so someone brought hand soap and took the body wash. But a bigger issue was when we arrived, and tired. Our code didn't work and we couldn't call. I found a wonderful teenager who called, and sent a nice lady, Francesca over. We were given the wrong code. Francesca didn't speak english but gave us the code. I believe the pictures show a water view(not so much) but that isn't a big deal as you are in your room much

I would definitely recommend Cinque Terre to visit and taste the local cuisine.

Great view right at the top of the rock of Corniglia. Great exercise when you want to reach to the beach down there :-). Friendly area, nice local shops and restaurants.

The train ticket to the nearest villages for the Family is to expensive.

Great place, interesting town.

The location was exceptional; however one must be in good physical health to reach the room. There are 78 steps, that after a while seemed like 178 ( I'm 79), but once in your room it is comfortable and the view is stunning. The staff in Cafe Matteo in the Square just below (everything is below) the apartment are warm, inviting and generous. Sharon and Gabriel are two of the hosts and they make your days memorable. You can also take the train (400 feet down) to any of the adjacent towns for very little money.

There are only two areas of concern to me. One, the walk up to the apartment with luggage or even a sandwich for that matter, is taxing on someone my age. 20 years ago not so much, but you get over it. Two, if you somehow make the tragic mistake of driving there you will age very quickly, and parking is a considerable distance (if your lucky to find anything). Don't drive there.

L'emplacement est top...plein centre. Tout est neuf, propre, impeccable. La literie est super confortable. Chambre au calme.(sauf le clocher du village qui bienque un peu loin s'entend mais après tout on est dans un petit village)....son bruit est bien atténué quand on ferme le volet et la fenêtre. La climatisation est très appréciable. Corniglia le soir c'est top...calme, dépaysant...

Seul bemol : La terrasse avec vue sur mer n'est pas privative mais pour les autres chambres aussi....dommage ! On pensait qu'elle n'était que pour nous.... Petit petit petit détail : il manque un porte serviette pour les serviette de douche...par exemple au dessus des WC et une poubelle classique dans la chambre.

Nous pensions que le rooftop était accessible depuis la chambre, mais il était commun à l’immeuble donc nous avons dû le partager mais les autres locataires étaient très sympas.

View was great

Bed arrangement was unusual with queen and twin bed in one room and wall separating the other twin bed. Bathroom sink faucet was loose and difficult to use. Ants on coffee table and bathroom floor 1st day. Minimal amount of coffee available for 4 people, had to provide our own for day 2.

Wonderful stay in Corniglia

Had a wonderful stay in Corniglia. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom and large shower. Loved the terrace on the roof which was a great place to relax in the afternoon with a bottle of wine and wonderful for stargazing at night! Good communication with the host and great location. Would definitely say here again!

Bien pour visiter les Cinque terre

Accueil chaleureux et bon contact par Whatsapp avec la propriétaire. Les Cinque Terre sont formidables et l’emplacement de l’ établissement était parfait pour faire les promenades dans les autres villages (un jour d’un côté et l’autre jour de l’autre côté). La chambre disposait d’un beau petit balcon avec une petite table et deux chaises (que d’autres touristes ont utilisé aussi lors du passage). Nous sommes également reconnaissants de nous avoir permis d’effectuer le check-in plus tôt. Cependant, nous avons été quelque peu déçus par la chambre pour plusieurs raisons. Tout d’abord, la lumière de sortie de secours reste allumée en permanence, ce qui rend impossible d’obtenir une obscurité totale pour dormir. De plus, l’odeur d’humidité persistante dans la chambre, malgré les aérations possibles, nous a donné l’impression de dormir dans un lit humide. La chambre a été repeinte mais on peut encore voir les taches d’humidité. La chambre dispose seulement d’une porte et on ne peut pas la laisser ouverte le temps qu’on n’est pas présent. On nous a informé de cela après paiement de celle-ci. La propreté n’était pas non plus à 100%. Le Wifi n’a pas fonctionné correctement (pas grave pour nous mais peut-être pour d’autres personnes). Je pense qu’il est difficile d’avoir une bonne connexion dans les villages.

Lovely accommodation with a balcony overlooking the sea in this pretty Cinque Terre village

Such lovely accommodation in this pretty village! Sitting on the balcony with a glass of local wine and a book, watching the beautiful ocean, was a highlight of our trip to the Cinque Terre. Our hostess kindly allowed us earlier access and we soon settled into this very clean, comfortable and spacious room. The fridge and air conditioning were very welcome and the central location was perfect. Parking was convenient, €20 for 24 hours.

TLC needed to make this place Great!

Location (once found), size of room, bedding, terrace, were all wonderful. Loved the terrace and sunset. Beds were comfy. WiFi worked great. The frig was small , but nice. This is a really nice unit, but it needs some minor attention and a pre-check to make sure all systems are working. I give the following shortfalls that need to be addressed, otherwise this unit would have gotten a better review, but I want to be honest.

I did not get access code to lock-box to open the apartment before arriving. I called several times over two hours and line was always busy. I had to ask three people where the apartment was located, because cell phone (even with 4 bars) would not run Google Maps. Luckily, I had left Booking.com app open to this apartment, which had a phone link and I was able to get the code from manager. Once inside I had to search for the WiFi information. I found it under one of the beds. Used the toilet and flushed, toilet would not stop, had to fiddle with it. Turned on air conditioner (all 3) and none of them worked (I own the same brand and model), had to leave windows open all night - listening to cats fight for a couple of hours.

The property was hard to find. Address wil lead you to the center. A description of where to find the property would have been helpful. Contact with the owner was not always fast. Like waiting for a day and a half to get an answer for a simple question.

Great spot to rest & reward ourselves with a beautiful view on the balcony after a big day hiking

The view was amazing from the balcony - very special to end a long day hiking. The room was clean & location to restaurants was perfect.

I would only suggest to provide a black out curtain on the bedroom window to provide better light cover from the big street light right outside the window. It was extremely bright in the room all night & we had a pretty bad sleep as a result - it was a shame as everything else about the room was comfortable!

We loved our visit to IL Timone and are already planning a return.

The rooms were lovely, and plenty of space for our group of four. The room felt like part of the vacation, not just a place to stay. We enjoyed the balcony, the view, and the comfort. The air conditioner and small fridge was an added benefit we enjoyed, but weren’t expecting.

There was absolutely nothing we did not like. The stairs were a challenge but were to be expected in Cinque Terre .

I appreciated early contact via WhatsApp by owner and able to check-in a bit early. Coffee/tea making items provided. Nice to have mini-frig and a/c during very hot weather. Bed linens lovely. Quiet location behind church.

Somewhat hard to find. Would have liked tv to work to watch Tour de France though this was a minor detail.
