Hostel Center

I'm coming back here after a year's break, and my satisfaction is even greater after a year away. 😇 It's still a wonderful, relaxing place in the heart of the city for those who want to spend just a few days in Ulcinj on their Balkan trip, or for those who come here specifically for a vacation. A very friendly and welcoming family will greet you and be available during your stay: where to eat, where to go, which beach to choose, where to buy things and at what price to avoid overpaying, etc. This isn't a party hostel (there are other places in Ulcinj that specialise in this), but they do organise community events, including a traditional dinner with a local family – I highly recommend it. Delicious! 😋 Small technical details (for those who are hesitant about coming here): cozy 4-person dorms with air conditioning (or private rooms), clean and fragrant bedding, shower and toilet in the room, access to the kitchen, fridge and freezer, working and efficient Wi-Fi, a fantastic garden dotted with plants and flowers for a pleasant time (for breakfast, for an afternoon nap, for a conversation in the evening, etc.), a small pool for cooling off in the yard. Close to the old town, shops, eateries, bus station, and a short walk to the beaches. Come here, and you'll see for yourself that it was worth it. I hope to come back here again. I'm not saying "Farewell," just "See you again!"🤗

Unfortunately, bike rentals are no longer available (ask the host, Mensur, and he'll tell you where to find them), but this is only a minor gripe that doesn't change my opinion of this place.

I booked a private room . It was confortable and clean !

The kitchen could be improved with a bigger cook and maybe a little refurbish to look nicer however it was easy to cook . The private rooms up stairs are much better so maybe improve the downstairs private rooms to look same as to the up stairs .

The host was really helpful, he sat and explained where we can go to see the city and attractions. The place was clean but there was a smell coming from the bathroom pipes. There was few bugs, spiders here and there but the place itself more like a natural place and i think spiders were eating the mosquitoes, so it was a win-win. I used to the pool but the stairs to inside to pool was a bit dangerous, it was wobbly. The pool had green spots so i m also not sure how often they were cleaning it. I could stand in it, so its not much deep. But the location was great, you could walk to the old town in 20 mins.

The owner was really friendly and tried everything to make us feel comfortable in the Hostel! They had some services to offer, like laundry care, and they did that really quick and cheap!! The backyard was nice and really comfy. We did get coffee from him.

The room we stayed in had a hard to accept smell! Really bad and uncomfortable. Like something moldy. The bed was a spring bed, and not really comfy as well. The sheets have been as big as the surface of the mattress. Means, as soon as you move a tiny bit, you partly laid on the matress. I can’t speak for the other rooms. We took the breakfast two minutes away, a buffet for 7 euros. It was way overpriced and not tasty. Some bread, goat cheese, melon, tomatoes. I would say, it was a bad quality from each.
