Lovely stay, good value and great host.

Mathias was a lovely host, friendly & very helpful. He kindly fetched us extras pillows. Really good facilities with a fridge, coffee maker etc in the communal kitchen. There’s even a lounge area. The bedroom was very comfortable, the decoration was unique with a boutique feel. Convenient for Mons centre.

Didn’t really mind but the chandelier needed a dust :)

Convenient location, helpful host and good sized rooms

Arriving in Mons we were met by Marc and guided to our accomodation for the evening, the Dragon House. We had two lovely and spacious rooms and a decent kitchen too. The house had lots of period features and eclectic decor, shabby chic I guess. The place was blissfully quiet even though it was only 5 minutes walk from the Grand Place. There was plenty of space for a laptop, the shower was good and it was a very convenient stay. Parking was on road and free 6PM - 9AM I think. We got breakfast from the Au Millefeuille bakery round the corner. The kitchen was very well equipped so we could have eaten properly if we were staying longer.

Quality accommodation in the heart of historic Mons.

Friendly owner made me feel very welcome. Great value close to historic centre.. Accommodation has much character. Kitchen and free tea and coffee a bonus. Enjoyed Mons and if you want to try a few different Belgian beers to see which you like would recommend a VB suit to Golden Coach bar.

Nothing I didn't like really. Should mention though that I was on a cycling trip. There is some storage space for cycles but not large numbers. So if you are in a group of more than two cyclists I'd suggest better check there is space ahead of booking.

Amazing place to stay some nights in the center of Mons - highly recommend the “Carré d’Or” room!

The accommodation is very cleaned and we had the chance to meet Mathias who was very sweet with us and we loved the decoration of the room!

I am extremely satisfied with everything.

I am super satisfied, I recommend it to everyone. The style and decor of the room was beautiful. Shared kitchen and living room also very nice and clean. Quietly located, close to restaurants and about a 2-minute walk from the city. The host was very friendly and helpful.

I could not find this place to atay

It was impossible to find this hotel. At the address there was only a shuttered shop with absolutely no access. They did not answer the phone although I called several times. I had to stay elsewhere . There was no signage to indicate that it may have been an hotel. A dingy street where no neighbours were aware there was such a place nearby. DDI NOT BOOK THIS NON HOTEL

The location is near to walk everywhere on the center. The BED, pillows and blanket, were super, super, super comfortable. The owner, waiting for you and explaining everything. Very nice and kind gentleman and very communicative. Will come back for sure

I had the loft room on the top floor, i loved it, theres plently of windows to let light in but nice sheer curtains for privacy and blackout curtains for night time. I loved the bed it was so comfy. Location is close to main restaurants and main sqaure so its easy to see the highlights of mons.

I liked the location, very close to downtown, and the size of the room, bigger than average and with some cozy space to work.

As it is an old building, it was a little dusty from the wooden ceilings.

Wins on many fronts - good sized room with memorable decor (bath in middle of room, shower into it), super central location, excellent shared kitchen space (where we were allowed to leave bags after checkout), helpful introduction to Mons from friendly folk. Only minor gripe, as others have noted was the slight smell of drains in our room which is almost inevitable given the lack of easy ventilation flow through in a room of its design. As the owners will warn you, arrival details need to be arranged so that someone comes to let you in. This proved quite flexible - we sent update messages as we got closer to Mons. It was possible to get bags out of the car while idling at a temporary pull-over point before parking around 10 minutes' walk away in the free parking area that the owner helpfully showed us on a map.

Loved it!

It was a really cute guesthouse. Has a shared living room, kitchen, separate toilet downstairs. All the "bedrooms" have a full bathroom with it. Mathew was super nice, very helpful and gave us info on nearby restaurants, bakery's etc. Definitely will come to see him again when we are in the area!

Room size was good, the standalone bath was great. Bed was comfy.

It was a dark room, some of the lights didn't work, needed new bulbs I guess. Lots of cobwebs from main light to wall on the ceiling, under the blinds next to the bed the windows were covered in cobwebs.

great location to the centre, very spacious property and room, good kitchen and living space, access to toilet and bath very easy

bed was a bit too soft, glad picked downstairs room as upstairs was a bit small doorway wise for my tall husband, more parking options would be lovely but understandable and bigger sign for the property as drove past many times

Our host Mathias was very nice, he gave us all the necessary details about the location, how to get there and upon our arrival, he greeted us and provided us with all the details about Mons, its history, sights, food... Even though it was just a short stay, it was unforgettable. We highly recommend the Mons Dragon House to anyone who is planning a visit to Mons.

The location was perfect! The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The hot water in the shower didn't work. It's possible that we didn't know how to operate the shower heads. The steps to the bathroom and shower we're steep.

Excellent value for money, Fantastic location, Owners did all they could to make my stay comfortable

You will need to be able bodied as there is no lift. Rooms are very clean and comfortable in normal weather conditions. Kitchen is spotless and facilities to cook or just prepare food were excellent with shops and takeaways nearby.

As previously stated it can be noisy but alas the owners can not control that and it's a trade off to be so close to down town. Also no AC in very hot weather some may find very challenging.
